stayed here may 2012 with 3 mates.

1. The Staff were extremely rude and did not understand pretty much any english.
2. The food at the hotel was a joke they can not cook western food at all.
3. There were rats at one point running around outside the rooms.
4. Tv stopped working half way through our stay it took 4 phone calls to the front desk and a hour and a half before anyone came to fix it.

Overall the staff really were what made it a miserable stay. this place has potential but they need to change the staff and the chef and fix alot of things.

I will not be returning!!!!

Room Tip: I would recommend finding another hotel. You could find a way better place for half the price of thi...

Dear Nobbo91,

Thank you very much for taking time to comment on Tripadvisor as well as for your direct e-mail few days ago. We have already responded and clarified promptly about these issues through e-mail and we would like to take this opportunity to apologize once again if your previous stay in May 2012 did not reach your satisfaction level.
We do appreciate your good will in guiding ways to solve these issues in order to improve overall service. However, since your last visit was 8 months ago and we have been continuously enhancing our service by training our staff, therefore we would be pleased if you would give us a chance and re-experiencing The KEE again.

Regards,
KEE Management Team

The kee is a great hotel in a great location. It is extremely clean, tidy and modern. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They are all accommodating to any requests and everything is no hassle. 2 entrances is good as you don't always have to walk through the open air bar however this is also great for night life. The noise was no issue infact once the balcony doors were closed the rooms were very sound proof. At the entrance of hotel and in the next few streets are some beautfiul restaurants with great prices. The roof top lounge is very comfortable and affordable it is perfect to see sunset. I would definitely recommend and stay here next time I visit.

The Kee Resort is a fabulous hotel with every amenity and wonderful staff! Gorgeous rooms which are meticulously cleaned every day. Lovely pool area with a great swim up bar staffed by attentive staff. If you need anything just ask, beds are hard so we asked for a pillow top and it had been added by the time we got back from dinner. Bit noisy at night from Bangla Road but you get used to it very quickly. Would definitely stay here again !

My husband and I as well as another couple stayed here together. We could not sleep at night due to music blaring, thumping past 2am. The hotel is located very close to nightlife so if you plan to party all night it is a good choice, otherwise stay away. Staff were not very friendly or helpful, didn't even know about skylounge. Rooms were ultra modern. Beds not very comfortable.

Room Tip: If you are going here ask for a room as far away from noise as possible (on an upper floor perhaps...

Stayed here with girlfriends for a few night and it was the perfect location to get everywhere! Stroll to the beach, shops, restaurants and of course the bars & clubs. Staff were great, wifi sporadic, sky lounge was beautiful. Only negatives, spa bath had some grime and communal pool often busy and full. Else, loved it!

Booked a room here since friends had already made up their minds on this place. 4 people, 2 rooms. It has a good score in the reviews on TA and I was sure this was a good pick. Price was 4.000baht/night and close to xmas, thats allright for a brandnew sleek hotel situated smack centre of patong.

At checkin I didnt bring a hardcopy of my booking which frontdesk so adamantly requested. Without success in sending it via email, they accepted and said it was needed so I had to email it to them later that day. Never heard anything more and to this day I still havent sent that booking to them. So if it doesnt matter, why are they so stubborn at checkin.

2 major issues and 1 at breakfast....

Expectations took a dive upon entering the room which displayed what I will call the biggest and stupidest blunder in design I have ever seen, and I mean ever!! The sink in the bathroom has been relocated to where the coffeetable in hotel rooms normally are = No sink in the bathroom and no mirror !! Who can approve such idiocy when constructing this hotel !?

This giant blunder of a design also results in bad hygiene. Go to the toilet and when done, you have to open the door (touch the handle) and go out to the sink. Grooming is at full display to your spouse/gf/bf. What a disaster this room would be if I had brought a male friend.

Bathroom has no regular door, instead there are 3 sliding doors of which 2 overlap. WHY ??! Did I say the design was stupid. Had someone in their right mind dropped the bathtub that noone never uses anyway, put the sink WHERE IT BELONGS, AND A MIRROR THANK YOU, with 2 walls and 1 door then this room would have been quite ok.

I am amazed that noone else in reviews have mentioned or even dared to criticize this Guiness Book record in design stupidity.

Big tv, table and chair, coffeemaker was there. Big bed also and it was quite good.

Next big disappointment was the noise!! Stand outside the hotel and face the breakfast area (frontdesk to the left, parking garage to the right) - if you get a room in the wing to the right (we were on 4th flloor, the 4010-4021ish room numbers) which is next to the partying zone at Bangla, you are in for a world of noise of the worst kind. Imagine a loud and distorted bass going on til 5am and you get the picture. It is unbearable. In the opposite wing there is no noise so be aware when you book.

Another thing about rooms is that when booking a pool-access room, you are on display for all to see you since the eating area gives full view to just about every pool-access room. Very UN-intimate and 'stressed' atmosphere and certainly not something I would like. Quite the opposite of another hotel I have stayed in a few times in Patong

We booked without breakfast but decided to go eat. Price for BF is 450 baht. I havent paid that anywhere else for BF. For that money you get a standard BF buffet but with only a few thai dishes. And all the juice is right out of a carton or bottle - nothing is fresh. Coffee is absolutely undrinkable which sadly is a common thing in Thailand hotels, not just here. I wonder where these places get their coffee. Omelet/egg stand was very good though.

For 450 baht I expect a lot more than this, especially in the beverage department!

All in all this was a terrible stay with the noise being number1 followed closely by the missing sink in the bathroom. Hotel itself is pretty nice, the pool is huge and the location is great but these issues bring the house down and because of those, this is definitely not a return destination for me.

Management will probably comment on this and I am looking forward to see their 'defense' for no sink in the bathroom and for NOT using soundproof glass (multi layer) where its needed to ensure a good nights sleep worth 4.000baht.

Room Tip: Stay away from the wing closest to Bangla Road - it will ruin your sleep.

The rooftop skylounge on the 6 floor has certainly a relaxing athmosphere, with good service of the trendy young staff and nice music. The view over Patong is not very special, but the quality of the food was very good, although the prices a bit high, but with the discount of the Privilege card it makes no problem. Nice younger crowd and trendy atmosphere.
