“Fantastic Place to stay”

Andaman Beach Suites Hotel

We stayed at Andaman Beach Suites on our first trip to Thailand in a Family Suite. Room 601-602. I was a bit worried after reading a few negative reviews but there was nothing to worry about. The room was extremely spacious with more than enough storage space. We had a King size bed and my daughters had their own room with king single beds. There was two bathrooms and a massive living area. It was clean. We were on the 6th floor so the view wasn't that great but we didn't care as we were hardly there. Breakfast was fantastic. There was a chef there every morning making fresh waffle, pancakes. omlettes and fried eggs. There was bacon, cereal, pastries, croissants, different kinds of breads, fresh juice, tea, coffee as well as Thai food. I don't know how anyone could say that there wasn't enough variety. The staff there were very friendly and nothing was a problem for them. O.K there wasn't a Big Plasma TV or microwave and the furniture and bathroom was a bit old. When you are on holidays do you spend much time in your room?? Well we certainly didn't. The room was cleaned for us everyday with 4 bottles of water left daily. This was probably a four star hotel. I would definitely stay here again. We paid $1200 for four people for 10 nights including breakfast. I think it was really good value for money. I have paid a lot more and got a lot less for Australian holidays. I thoroughly recommend Andaman Beach Suites

This was our honeymoon stay and the hotel actually prepared a personal card to congratulate us along with a complimentary fruit basket! We got a room facing the swimming pool though would have been nicer if they gave us a higher floor! But overall, we got our money's worth - breakfast was of good variety, the location was strategic enough - within walking distance of Patong beach and it's famed nightlife, and just outside the hotel, a 24-hour convenience store ala 7-Eleven and many foodstalls offering good and cheap local cuisines and seafood. Of course there are the massage parlours too and plenty of tour agents round and about the area, so it's really convenient! Would recommend this place for mid-budget travellers!

My family and I stayed at the Andaman Beach Suites in August 2007 for 7 nights. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment family suite. It was very good value for what we paid as it was very spacious.
The sofa bed in the lounge area could have done with a clean as it had a bit of a stinky musty smell, other than that, there were no other complaints. The service in this hotel was very good, always with a smile. Breakfast was good. The room was cleaned well.
I would reccomend this hotel as very good value. It is probably a 3 and half star hotel. The location is ideal for families as it is located in a quiet part of Patong in Phuket.
I would recommend CHONG KO TRAVEL for all of your bookings to day trips, islands and shows. They are an excellent and reliable company located close to Andaman Beach Suites Hotel at [--]
My family and I booked trips to Phi Phi Islands, Phang Nga Bay (James Bond Island - used in James Bond 'The Man with The Golden Gun' staring Roger Moore and 'Panyee Village' - Gypsy Island), Kai Islands, Simon Cabaret, Phuket Fantasea Show.
The Phuket Fantasea show was spectacular and was worth every penny for the theatrics, singing, dance, interaction with elephants and animals, mid-air - high wire acrobatics, incredible stage set as good as anything in London's West End theatre district and the cultural insight.
The Simon Cabaret show was good, nevertheless, I do have some reservations regarding the professionalism of the cast players and the management team of this enterprise. Be careful ! My experience was a bad one. At the end of the show the cast members sneakily encourage you to take photos with them. My 11 year old daughter was coerced into having a photo with 2 of the lady boy performers while I visited the toilet. When I arrived at the 'phototaking' after visiting the toilet, I was presented with an unreasonable bill for the photos. Then, as the drama unfolded, 4 of the lady boys surrounded me and my wife and daughter, begging for a tip. The amateur photographer also demanded 400 baht for the 2 Kodak instant photos that had been taken. The unnecessary tasteless drama perpetrated by the lady-boy performers and amateur photographer of the show spoiled the evening. Up until then the show had been quite entertaining with a great song and dance performance and impressive stage set. I would not reccomend this show to anyone. Many people of the audience experienced the same tasteless drama. I myself was relieved of 1000 baht within 2 minutes by the aggressive lady boys.
Phi Phi Islands (Maya Bay - Used in the 1998 movie with Leonardo Di Caprio ' The Beach' ), Phang Nga Bay, Kai Islands were all spectacular. Phuket is a great holiday destination for families. The natural scenery of the Island is spectacular. The Andaman Beach Suites Hotel is the perfect choice of hotel if you want good service and fantastic accomodation space.

This was the second time we have stayed at Andaman Beach Suites. The hotel is high rise with great views from the higher floors.
Rooms are bigger than the normal size hotel room.
Pool area is average and not very attractive, though a bonus is you can use Club Andamans facilities nearby.

Location is perfect, at the quieter northern end of Patong Beach, staff are great and the refurbished rooms are excellent, especially Room 612 on the 6th floor. This room is huge with a four seater lounge, coffee table, extra chairs, 2 balconies, large bathroom, kitchen area (no cooking facilities) with sink and lots of cupboards.

We had a few problems with the airconditioning but this was attended to promptly. Package deals from Australia for this hotel normally include quite a few free nights making this hotel good value for money.

My husband and i took the kids on their first overseas holiday and stayed in this hotel. The bathroom was disgusting and everytime you had a shower it would flood the bathroom and the small hallway leading into the bathroom. The bed that should have been a king size bed was actually 2 single beds pushed together and my husband and i kept falling between the crack. The pool was mouldy for the first 3 days and we were never told that we could use the facilities of the sister hotel across the road which we ended up doing. The kids room was being renovated so that also couldnt be utelised and the whole time we were there (10 Days) the floor above ours was being renovated from 9am in the morning until 5pm in the afternoon with jack hammers and banging throughout this time.

I would never stay here again and would never recommend this hotel to anyone EVER
