We happened upon this restaurant by mistake. We normally eat Thai food in Thailand but fancied a change and the position of this restaurant with seating upstairs prompted us to try it. It is French run and very friendly with excellent views of Patong beach. The food is a mixture of European and Thai. It is stylishly furnished and the food was excellent. Whether you want a snack or dinner The Place is well worth a try being modern and relaxed. Excellent wines and amazing cocktails but reasonably priced.

Went to the Place twice during a nine day stay and enjoyed every minute on both occasions. Very pleasant and efficient staff and an excellent menu covering a wide range of tastes. Our group consisted of ten persons and there was plenty of room and service was attentive (without being overbearing) and quick. Restaurant is situated outdoors on a first floor balcony overlooking the main road along Patong Beach so you still get the feel of being part of the hustle and bustle but are removed just enough to make it more enjoyable. Suitable for families, groups or couples. Highly recommended. Prices are good, menu is wide ranging and no language issues.

We was there and the food was verry verry good! The people who has a job there was verry friendly and smile to us all the time! Many people must try this!

"The place" was our preferred restaurant at Patong. We stayed 10 days in Phuket and were six times at The Place. Everything we tried there is perfect: Steak, Pasta and Pizza.
The Pizzas are very near to original Pizzas you get in Italy....
And the prices are also ok, cheaper than a lot of restaurants in Patong.
