On arrival, our rooms weren't ready despite making explicit arrangements. Service in hotel restaurant and bar was definitely rude by Thai standards as I have visited the country twice before and stayed at different hotels. In fairness, this can be put down to a complete indifference by hotel management. Breakfast was poor to mediocre - one of the great things Thailand has to offer is a wonderful variety of exotic fruit... this hotel, however, struggled to rustle up a fresh slice of pineapple! Suggest Club Med instead - same value (once meals and drinks are factored in), MUCH better quality and a million times better service.

we went there for our honeymoon. we went there for 15 days.
we had a room with view at the sea. we had a pleasant stay. friendly people, good food (we ate thai each day but it is very hot! be prepared)
the internet works very good. we had no complaints,exept for one: do not change money in the hotel: it is more expensive and they only change in bath, the wont rechange in Euro.
good advice on the streets: never pay the price they ask!
If you want to do some thai boxing. Go to the stadium at bangla road and ask for Ling (he has one eye) with te compliments of robert Singa.

For our money, this hotel has the best position (quiet end of the magnificent beach) in Patong.
Unfortunately, it's more like a 2 star than 3 star hotel.
Problems included:
Poor internet access (2 computers in an uncomfortable environment).
Small, poky room.
Drab, old bathroom.
Leaking pipes.
No hot water on some days, insufficient on others.
Limited storage.
Cockroaches.
The position is so superior, we'd almost stay there again. But not unless we heard about a major renovation.

We stayed at the Seaview for 10 nights back in October. We had no complaints about the hotel at all. The rooms were lovely and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was great......i've never seen so much of a big selection. Both pools were pleasant and there were never any problem getting a sun bed, despite the hotel being overbooked on that week. The hotel is within easy walking distance to the center of Patong and i would definetely recommend it.
