Amazing hotel, beautiful rooms, perfect service and great location.

The rooms were beautifully decorated to a high standard, would def recommend to couples looking for a romantic getaway. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Would not recommend to anyone with walking problems though because it is situated on a steep cliff. However there was free parking for our moped (hired from place across the road) then a hotel shuttle service to the rooms, I believe there were also beach shuttle services.

We stayed for one week and were happy with the hotel overall. While there was nothing wrong we wouldn't stay again mainly due to the steepness of the hotel. There was a small open bus that took us from bottom to top but I'd rather just walk around a resort. Also we paid for an upgrade and when we visited our friends who had not upgraded we were surprised that the only difference was we had a canopy over our bed, a laptop and a slightly larger balcony. Not worth the price difference. But the staff were helpful and friendly and we did enjoy our stay.

Arrived late, tired and hot and was welcomed with a complimentrary cold drink and cold lei and once placed around our necks cooled us down considerably. The staff were very helpful and beautiful people (they couldn't do enough for you). We stayed for 12 nights in the Ocean View Suite, it was HUGE, well equiped and clean. As it was our Honeymoon our bed was covered in rose petals, roses in vases throughout the room and bathroom, complimentrary bottle of wine along with a special 'Congradulations' cake for two. The spa in the room overlooked the Sea. The room was quiet and comfortable (we managed to sleep in quite late when the curtains were drawn). It was lovely to pop out onto the terrace and unwind after a long day, watching the sunset and the entertaining traffice below.
The Location was perfect, away from the hussle and bustle of Patong centre however, only 15-20 walk (which we did most days), or 200 Baht TukTuk/Taxi or free hotel shuttle service. 7/11 5 min walk, restaurants across the road and also in the hotel complex.
3 Pools, one on the beach, once outside the restaurant (were you have breakfast) and the top pool (our favourite) as it comprised of waterfall, spa, slide, bridges etc.
What I loved about the hotel was it's layout, you quite often felt like you were the only people there, there were many seating areas with pleasant views scattered amongst the resort were you could meet with friends or just sit back and relax soaking up the tranquility. I could go on........ we will certainly be staying there again!!!!!

Returned today from a week at The Diamond Cliff Resort and Spa. Excellent location, walking distance to the nightlife of Patong yet far enough away for peace and tranquility. All the staff are welcoming and helpful, our room had a beautiful view across the sea, and each of the swimming pools were well attended. Planning a trip to Phuket? Choose The Diamond Cliff.
For excursions, try Andaman Leisure Phuket (ALP) for Phi Phi Island and Phuket Sanook Tour (ask for Nuya Laksanachan) for a tour of the island.

My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon for 10 days in a ocean view suit…

Pros:
- The room was HUGE! Clean and comfortable.
- Complimentary shuttle bus to central patong daily.
- As the resort is literally on a cliff they have a mini bus that drives you to and from you room as it is a bit of a mission to walk up the hill and the many stairs.
- The resort itself is very beautifully designed and warm.
- Staff were welcoming and helpful, also most speak general English.
- We had our own laptop and free internet in the room which was a nice touch I thought.
- The larger swimming pool with the pool bar was very nice and relaxing, we were there most afternoons.
- The spa was very nice, good massage.
- There are tuk-tuks always available at the entrance of the resort (if needed)
- Complimentary bottled water every time your room is serviced.
- The breakfast offered a massive selection of food, also there was a little secluded section for honeymooners which I thought was a cute touch.
- Hint: tip the cleaners 10 or 20 BAH and you get chocolates 

Cons:
- Apart from the breakfast the restaurant was not very nice. The food didn’t have the amazing thai-ness as we were expecting. A bitter disappointment…its better if you make the effort and walk down to the beach area.
- It is a bit of a mission to walk down to the better end of patong, about 15-20 mins, mind you there are plenty of lovely restaurants along the way but they all carry the higher $$$, so best to Tuk-Tuk it for about $200BAH
- No guest laundry! Or ironing board!! Im not sure if this is just a Thai thing but it was a bit disappointing as we wore wrinkled clothing. They of cause do have a dry-cleaning service, but we rather wash our cloths in the bath tub then waste the money.
- Bed is a bit hard…could do with a softer mattress

Overall we enjoyed our stay…but might look else were next time.

This hotel provides stunning views from the clifftop. Rooms are spacious and light. Beds are large & comfortable. You are provided with a pillow menu! Fridge/mini bar in the room. 4 restaurants on site - didn't use them, chose to eat at various places in Patong.
3 pools, ample sunbeds & good towels.
Staff are so friendly & really look after you...I had a stunning cake delivered for my birthday.
The rooms are equipped with safe, umbrellas, scales all array of toiletries. Housekeeping were great & looked after us well, leaving us chocs daily.
1kg fruit free.
Gorgeous spa on site, but quite expensive.
Good gym area.
Fantastic location, just down the hill to Patong beach. 15 mins walk to main shopping areas. 7-11 shop at the bottom of the hill for all your food shopping.
Toiletries in Thailand are really cheap, even suntan lotion so dont bother overloading your case. They have boots too which sells branded product cheaper than England. I bought some lovely cheap soap & glory products to bring home.

Thoroughly recommend Diamond Cliff

We got a fab deal at this hotel booked with Kuoni and paid for 5 nights and received 5 nights free and on arrival were given a kuoni room upgrade to a suite which was just stunning!! Would go back in a heart beat, the staff were fabulous and the free shuttle bus to main bangla road was very handy for evening when in heels, but in the day it was fine to walk. The resort is not suitable for those who have any mobility issues because it is steep. We chose to eat at the hotel on one of the nights but wished we had not as it was very over priced, we ate out in some great restaurants for literally half the price. Overall though I would 100% recommend this hotel. Oooh, not forgetting all their pools at the hotel, they were fantastic!!
