“Great little hotel in Patong”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2012

Athome 2 is a great little hotel 5 minutes by motorbike to the beach, Bangla and Jung Ceylon. Athome 2 is in the middle of a huge number of new guesthouses that are going up all over Patong. Prices are very reasonable, furnishings are all very recent, and the staff are very friendly. I prefer to stay here instead of downtown Patong as it's very quiet: no road or bar noise. WIFI is excellent, and the cook will whip up whatever you want to eat when you're hungry.

After backpacking through Thailand and staying in tiny rooms with a bed and toilet/shower rooms, this place has been a welcome surprise. Great value and close to everything. Has a TV, wifi, separate shower and toilet, plus breakfast is included. The service is good and the place is very clean. Would certainly recommend this place to others.

We stayed at "At Home Hotel" for 2 nights. While the room was clean and comfortable, the distance to the beach was too great. It was advertised as a 15 minute, 850 meter walk but is once you figure out how to get there. There is construction all over Patong. There is no direct way to get to the beach. The tuk-tuk and taxi mafia charge exorbitant rates and don't budge much when you try to bargain. Unfortunately they have a monopoly on transportation unless you renta car or motor bike for yourself. too many Europeans willing to pay high prices have made Phuket into a more commercial and less affordable holiday. The value is no longer there.

On the other hand, the owner is very helpful. Breakfast is good and the coffee fresh.

Room Tip: If you want to go to Phuket be prepared to pay much higher prices for everything than in the rest of...

We liked our stay at this place. The personnel was very helpful and polite. The room was cleaned every day. It is not close to the beach, there is no garden around the hotel, but it is cheap and ok if you just need a place to stay at night and spend your time at the beach. It is a small hotel with a nice breakfast served at the open 1st floor in the morning.

Room Tip: the rooms are average, the price you pay

You definitely feel like you are at home,a nice clean and cosy hotel with very friendly staff. The workers were always smilling and making you feel welcome especially the hotel manager who we got on with very well, was always laughing and joking with us. any problems we had we went to him and he sorted it out, even if it had nothing to do with the hotel he still lent a hand. He organized our trip to phi phi islands at a good price even though we booked it late the night before.
Breakfast was ok provided you wake up during breakfast times.
Walking distance away from everything..
Hotel is great value for money...which doesnt lack in quality.
Would definitely book again..

What a nice place to stay. If you are looking for all the luxuries and amenities of a beach resort then you won't want to stay here. If you are looking for a nice, clean, and comfortable and affordable place to stay then this is it. Free wifi, fridge, flat screen TV, comfortable beds, nice bathroom, shower only, two computers in the open air lobby if you don't have your own with you, decent breakfast, and located in a quiet area. And the most important of all, wonderful, friendly, and caring people who run this hotel. They are so nice and accommodating. About a 15 minute walk will bring you to the largest shopping mall, with plenty of stores and restaurants, or about a 30 minute walk will take you to the beach. If you don't feel like walking then you can rent a motor scooter, which is really the only way to go in this heat.

Room Tip: At this time there is some construction going on about a block away, you might request a room on the...
