The first impression when we entered the lobby was not very good already. The building which is just a meter in front is under construction. And while i was waiting to check in, i explored around the lobby and went towards the "water area" which i thought was the decoration of the lobby. After a few seconds, i was so shocked to realize that it was actually the pool! Though honestly you don't really need to swim in the pool as you are just 5 mins away to beach. but the location and set up of the pool is really a bit hilarious. And with such pool, i think the pool access room would be a rip off.
Service overall is good. Room is nice and clean, but super noisy in the morning. I was placed on a standard room on the 2nd floor with windows facing the parking lot of the tall building behind. Every morning around 7, i could hear men chatting in Thai loudly, or motorcycles passing by, and their voices seems to come right under your bed because your pillow is just sticking to the window. Also any local call needs to go to reception and ask them to dial for you, and if the no. is a mobile, you will be charged 10baht each call. And when i asked for an iron and iron board, it is not available. So i have to wear my twisted and folded t-shirt all day.

Room Tip: if you only want good location and will wake up early in the morning anyways, this is a good one. T...

After reading reviews, decided to try it out. Was there in early June 2011 for 5 days. Taxi driver from the airport would have hard time to locate this (as it is not the 5 stars Hotels), so it is good to print out the hotel address in thai, or have the hotel phone number ready (you can ask the driver to call the hotel for direction and pay him a small tip later), so you can direct your taxi correctly. As a tip, just ask them to drop you buy the Patong Beach McD (if you have light luggage). The hotel is just at the end of the alley right after McD (along the traffic flow on Patong Road).

We arrived early and since it's off peak season, had our room ready early. The premise is indeed small, as the hotel facilities are definitely a bit on the short side (if you consider the crowd during peak season), but our stay is definitely very comfortable. The room is spacious (despite the small premise), modern, and for the off peak price, i wouldn't complain a bit. Bed is comfortable, maybe i'm very tired throughout my trip, i did not notice or at least, not very bothered with the 'noisy' construction going on for my 4 nights there. Maybe i have the furthest away room from the noise.

The best thing about the Hotel is definitely the location. Patong beach is just straight down the alley (3mins), familiar food chain such as McD, Starbucks are also near (3mins). Along the alley of the hotel, there is an italian restaurant and a pizza restaurant that are quite good (by asian standard), there are also 2 restaurants on the same alley that provides cheaper options for diners (and the one on the left coming from hotel serves good continental b/fast). For those with tired legs, few massage parlors are here as well. Try the one with the 'fish spa'(2 big aquariums at the front of the shop). Although not something to die for, we went there 2x for foot and shoulder massage, and it was good to say the least (note: thai massage can be a little painful for first timer, so be prepared). Bangla road is 5 minutes away, hardrock cafe about 10, Jungceylon shopping complex is a bit further (the shortest route i found was walking to and through the entire stretch of Bangla road) at about 15mins away. If you be patient and stroll on patong, many food vendors on motorbikes will stop inside the alley, try the papaya salad or if you're hungry, the noodles, they are great (cheaper and tastier than hotel or restaurant versions as well)!

The staff was ok, very basic english but certainly very friendly and trying hard to be helpful. It is true the hotel lacks that 5 star hospitality or professional hotel service, it does feel more like a 'family-run-business' type of approach. But i guess we couldn't be complaining much for the price. The staff can come quite handy when trying to find out eateries, calling a cab, communicating with tour agency, etc.

Final tip, get a motorbike if you can (and are legally eligible). It's definitely the best way to get around the island, and even around patong beach (it is not as small as you think). In front of McD, you can see a lot of motorbikes parked opposite the road. Maybe you can get one there. The owner is a Mr nice guy. i had a flat tyre so i went back to him, even if he was already closed (at night), some vendor (a lady vendor in front of McD, to be precise) managed to contacted him. He sent over his son with a new bike as a replacement for me as i told him i need to visit Phuket town the next day. Pleasant service i have to say. I am speaking out of personal experience, although i would imagine other companies would have similar service as well.

Back to the hotel, i would recommend it to anyone definitely. If you are here for the beach and fun, and does not intend to 'indulge' in your own private room, then this hotel is for you. It has everything you need (nice bed, pretty shower, modern room design, great location) for your sunny patong beach holiday (at a reasonable price that is!)!

We spent 4 nights at The Belle Resort in February and enjoyed every minute.
My husband and two teenagers travelled to Phuket before me and spent 2 nights at another more expensive hotel further from the beach. They changed to this hotel because it was cleaner, nicer and minutes from the beach.
The boys stayed in one of the back rooms which didn't have a view but was clean and quiet. They did have a small problem with the AC unit but the staff dealt with it quickly by moving them to another room for the night as it was late.
Our room was at the front of the hotel with a lovely huge bed and glassed in bathroom.
The staff was very friendly and helpful as well.
Their was internet available in the lobby where there was also a small pool which truth be told was available ffor swimming but was in a very windy spot.
would stay here again with my family because it was clean, at the end of a street, quiet, minutes from the beach and economical.

Room Tip: If you don't care about light and just want a clean, safe , cheap room opt for the ones in the b...
