“Pretty and little”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2013

I stayed at the princess for a few days with my partner and our friends. It was a very pretty and clean hotel. It was exactly what we needed; clean safe and comfortable. One of our friends actually changed from her other hotel in patong because it was good value and clean. The staff are also lovely and the pool is nice, I recommend it for traveling young people wanting somewhere nice.

I guess it all depends how much one pays for it. For $USD 45 I paid, it is a sad hotel. Honestly, the place is at best a clean backpacker lodge. There is no phone in the room, the TV is not working and they want 3 percent extra to use a credit card. Being Thailand an inexpensive country this place is extremely overpriced!

We got a great deal for the room and stayed 3 nights. The hotel was around 10 minutes walk or 5 minutes tuk-tuk to the main Patong beach and in a good area with restaurants but not too much noise at night.

The front office were polite and helpful and made check in and check out easy and fast process. The room was not luxury but was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable and we always had a good sleep. For the price this is a very good hotel choice.

We stayed here for only one night before going onto Phi Phi. We arrived late at night about 11:30pm as our flight was delayed but the reception was still open and we were warmly greeted.
The room was really nice and clean - we had two queen size beds, a balcony and a great bathroom with a good shower!
We didn't make it to the main stretch in Patong, but once we arrived we got changed and headed out to meet some friends, there are lots of nice bars around within easy walking distance.
The next morning we asked the hotel staff to arrange a boat over to Phi Phi for us, which they did with ease. They even arranged transfers to the port for us - this cost a total of 500baht per person.
Nice hotel in a good location with helpful staff.

Room Tip: The rooms have black out curtains - set an alarm because you won't wake up by sunlight streaming...

Value was amazing for a good sized room with a good balcony. Little bit of a hike up to the main shops and beach, but in a nice, quiet area with lots of little inexpensive restaurants. Pool area is very basic - pool is fine, but the surroundings could do with a little TLC. Couple of loungers, no umbrellas, no tables, ashtrays, etc. Staff very helpful, even lent us a kettle so we could make our own tea & coffee. Only negative was that breakfast only happened two days out of the 6 we stayed there - think it was a lack of staff. Also, it doesn't start until 8am, so if you have a day trip (which many people do when they are staying there), you can't get anything to eat even if they had the staff available to cook it. But the positives certainly outweighed the negatives, and we'd stay there again.

The key word here is price, for the 20 odd dollars we paid per night, I was incredibly surprised at the quality of this establishment. From the warmest welcome upon arrival to the cleanliness of the rooms, this place (for the price) is incredible value. Sure its not flash, but its basic, cheap and more than acceptable for a quick stay on a tight budget. It's a little further from the action (20 minute walk to Bangla Rd) but again for this kind of price one cant nit pick.
