Am staying at Baan Yuree right now. Good points: free shuttle to town & Jungceylon shopping centre 9 times a day, rooms quite large with bar fridge & beach towels 2 free bottles of water daily, swim up bar. Bad points: No fitness centre, free breakfast is very limited, bed is the hardest I have ever slept on, pillows too high had to ask for thin pillows as got sore neck. No happy hour for drinks at any time at this hotel never before stayed in hotel without a happy hour, free wi-fi did not work in hotel room at all could not do work related emails etc had to request hotels own wi-fi sign on to do work emails. This hotel is too far to walk to Bangla Rd or O-Top shopping will always require transport please do not pay full price to stay here it is fine if you get it cheap enough, if you have the money would recommend Banthai Beach Resort it is in a great location well worth the extra money.

We recently spent a week at Baan Yuree..and yes we were on a docket so it was extremely cheap. We were lucky enough to request and get a room on the 6th floor and from what we understand this is the area to be in. Our room was clean and quite spacious. We did not have any more mildew in the bathroom than in other tropical hotels of the same calibre. We treated the staff with respect and found them to be friendly and helpful. When the aussie yobbos were not around the pool making the place unbearable with their showing off and bully boy antics, was a pleasant place to sit and chat with other guests. Room service was prompt and the food hot. The pool bar was open when they said they would be, except when drunken louts and smashed it up, and the staff accommodating. There is a restaurant at the bottom of the hill which has great food and service. Even drove us up the hill one night when it was pouring rain. We had suits and shirts tailored at Eurostyle and while we couldn't fault the front man David, we are generally very disappointed with the result and the "master" tailor demeaning in his attitude. Baan Yuree is a low cost hotel and for voucher payment it is what it is. They do provide a free shuttle service into Patong and all in all the taxis which are clean and delightful to be in are readily available. Breakfast is bain maree style and is plentiful. The hotel is very quiet not being in the centre of Patong. The beds are hard and the air conditioning could do with a notch turn up, internet seems to be ok in the foyer, but you might have to line up, but in saying all the problems with the electrically run appliances I suggest you look at the wiring in the street and just be amazed that anything works at all. In general if you are staying there keep your sense of humour, remember you are in their country not your own, be respectful and you will have a pleasant time.

Room Tip: Higher up floors are cleaner and can be open to air them.

I stayed here about a year ago for 8 nights and enjoyed my stay.....I returned and stayed for 5 nights. We couldn't wait to get out of there.
At a glance the rooms look nice, but they are actually quite grubby. This place has gone downhill fast since my last stay.
The wifi drops out all the time, only allowing you to be online for a few mins at a time.
The Pool bar is advertised as being open from 10:30am til 8pm.....it was rarely open while we were there.
We wanted to order room service one night at about 9pm, we were told No, even though room service is advertised to run until 10:30pm.
The pools look nice at a glance but again, pretty grubby once you get in. No one has scrubbed the waterline on the tiles and it's all green and gross.
Thebathroom floods, the aircon doesn't cool the room suffienciently.
Check out was painfully long last time i stayed, so with thisin mind, we made sure we went down quite early to check out. This time check out took ONE HOUR! Due to: slow service, the printer not working, then the eftpos machine not working.
Good things were most of the staff are helpful and friendly. Room service Thai food is great. Hotel transfer to Patong is handy.
All in all a bad hotel now.

Room Tip: Go somewhere else. Currently we are staying at Burasari in Patong, which is much much nicer.

We stayed in the Baan Yuree in April this year, and absolutly loved it, we purchased a deal through spreets, and didnt know what to expect as reading the reviews they were not very good, but from our own experience we absolutly loved it. Only thing they do deffinatly need to improve on was the bed was like a rock which we did read in a review previously to going but was easy fixed as we asked for an extra doona which was delivered to our room straight away and we slept with one doona underneath aswel as on top, the split level pool is amazing and Gio the bar tender in the pool was very nice and spoke very good english. Many people say that the hotel is in a bad position- we loved it and it has fantasic views of everything (whilst we where in phuket there was an earthquake and tsunami warnings and the Baan Yuree being on the extreemly high hill was the evacuation spot so we didnt need to move out of our hotel and felt very safe and secure, we even got to go sit on the roof with staff and watch the whole of patong start running up the hill to the hotel, also the hotel suppiled dinner for everyone at no extra cost this night as there was nowhere to go and where very helpful in helping people that had flights whilst the airport was closed have somewhere to stay) You deffinatly need to walk up this hill atleast once during your stay. There is a free shuttle bus which runs throughout the day taking everyone down to the beach etc, which was very helpful throughout our stay as we had no idea where to go the first few days.

Room Tip: Ask for an extra doona to sleep on top of as beds are hard- fantastic place to stay and will deffina...

Stayed at this hotel Sept 10 to Sept 12, 2010

Compared to other hotels I have seen on the internet, the promotion price I got for our room was ok. At first impression, we were overwhelmed by the split level pool, size of the room and the peacefulness of the hotel. We loved having a balcony although the view is not that nice, we have easy accessibility to the pool just right outside our door. Food was ok, I hope they improved on the choices of the breakfast buffet. Wifi connection throughout the hotel is a very good plus.
We were ok with the fact that the hotel is quite far from the beach and the entertainment scene because there is a shuttle service that brings guests to and from the hotel to that location. I just hope that they have added the frequency of the service as compared before.

I hope this resort improved in time.... I have high hopes on them because of the nice rooms, majestic split level pools and peacefulness because of its location. Location is quite steep for someone who plans to walk from the main highway.

Room Tip: Choose rooms with sea view :)

We recently stayed at this hotel with a Dealme.com voucher. We were extremely impressed.
Rooms: clean, spacious and comfortable. They were cleaned so meticiously everyday and our towels were made into different animals each day, swans, elephants etc.
We had a poolside room which made it easier with children. They could sleep safely while we swam without being far away
Location: excellent. Glad we stayed out of Patong Beach. The free shuttle service is excellent and reliable. The hill is something you have to tackle at least once while staying here. All amenitites are at the end of the street. Laundry, family mart and restaurants and ATMs.

Staff: Unbelievable! Special mention to Mook, Ting, Pang, Lek and Joke. All very helpful and friendly. Can not fault the staff here. They loved and children and they were treated like superstars. No request was too hard for any of the staff.
We also used the babysitting service through the hotel. Highly recommended although prices are a little more expensive than back at home.
Pool: amazing.
Room service: speedy and delicious
Breakfast: Many reviews complained about the breakfast but it was suffiecient. Eggs done every way, fresh bread and coffee with baked goods. Or full asian breakfast.

I can not fault Baan Yuree at all. It was a great place to stay and wonderful staff and the best value for money Ive every spent.

Room Tip: Request pool side

Like most people who stay at the hotel we purchased a Scoopon voucher. So I had read reviews
Of hotel on this site. Well I can honestly say that you will be surprised by the hotel. It is not and I do emphasize a 5 star resort, so if that is what you are after please don't stay .
The rooms are large and yes clean, yes the bed is hard but like most people we asked for an underlay which they put on straight away. In fact the staff were always helpful at all times.
The pool is nice the food at the hotel is actually good. Had a meal at hotel one night and it was
Betterr than out on streets. Had a good view from our room , though I did ask for another room
After 5 nights cause our shower leaked water everywhere. No problem I asked if I could have a room poolside and was in my room within half hour. So overall I would say very good value for money.
