I moved from Las Vegas to Phuket three years ago. I've missed a Vegas culinary experience.
My favorite, #1 dinner, in Las Vegas is the french onion soup, rib-eye steak, large baked potato, with some vodka gimlets straight up. Sam's rivals it! There are some differences, though.
There's no layer of cheese on the soup, though it was very good.
The rib-eye should be 1/2 inch thicker, though, again, very good.
The baked potato is very small.
The gimlets were perfect!
Understand, I am 2 meters tall and over 120 kilos, so, I like big meals. So, size matters.
The staff was very good. Friendly, and spoke very good English, which helps since my Thai is average at best.
The only downside was it was priced the same as it is in Las Vegas, but, I guess that's just the way it is.

What a great review - thank you for taking the time to share such detailed and constructive feedback with us! I am especially pleased that the staff delivered a friendly and professional service and your comments with regards the portion sizes are well received.
I hope that we will see you back again soon at Sam's. Please feel free to contact me during your next visit to the hotel as I would be very pleased to introduce myself in person and discuss great dining with you further (perhaps over a gimlet!)
