This is a well placed Hotel and a nicely made and furnished too, but it lacs considerate and polite staff. The area around the lifts smells bad and the staff doesn't seem to care inspite of complaints. The staff around the pool removes the towels one hour before the closing time of the pool. On asking their reply is that the person responsible for providing towels at the pool has gone home, and it is an everyday feature. If you ask any of their staff to call the manager they simply refuse. They don't care if you complain to anyone, rather they ask you to do that.

The hotel is well made and furnished. The best part is its location which is very close to everything.

The hotel as a very nice pool on the 7th floor roof top, avoid using the inner courtyard pool area as rooms look directly in to it at very close range and Vs/Vs,the rooms could be noisy due to the pool splashes and kids playing etc. not forgetting that all the opposite rooms face each other and there are no privacy at all, unless you keep your curtains closed all the time.

My room was first one of the above upon arrival, which was immediately changed by one with a balcony facing the Holiday Inn entrance and from the side one can hear the sea at least.

F&B is as good as any hotel of this class and prices are very reasonable. The B'fast buffet is excellent and the all local service staff efficient and kind. the same as all the other staff at the Front Desk as well as House Keeping. It shows that Marriott's who opened this hotel as a Courtyard brand, knew what they were doing and that shows on the well trained staff and the product in general.

My only complaint here was the bad smell of stale water in my room as well as some other rooms or in some parts of the public areas. I think they have had a flood of some sort and that they didn't dry out the place properly, it's starting to stick bad and it is sometimes coming out of the Air-con outlets too. If Marriott was here in charge, this would not be allowed to continue, that's the difference "Destination Patong"! It's the soft ware that goes behind a brand! Work on it, you'll get there.
I think I will come back here again hopefully to a non-stale-water-smelling-room.

One last word of advice: Don't get conned in to eating at the Hard Rock Cafe on the ground floor at the end of the Lobby, it's not part of the hotel, the food is mediocre at best and very expenses compared to the hotel prices.

It is not a hotel outlet and guests can not sign to their rooms, In short it's a rip-off joint with extremely load incomprehensible music unlike other real Hard Rocks in the world I've visited. So take my word, try it once, have a beer and go elsewhere as there are no shortage of all sorts of bars all over the place.

If you want to go to the beach, best to take the Holiday Inn short cut: via their lobby to their pool garden, this way you avoid being hassled by the hawkers and Massage Grand Ma's on the side street to the beach. Have lots of fun! It's impossible not to over here!

Have stayed at this hotel many times in the past when it was a Marriott hotel , i know the standards that Marriott have and it is still of that high standard and many of the staff are still there , lovely warm welcome and the rooms are really well maintained and clean, great location and the breakfast is always top quality, the staff are always friendly and make you feel welcome all the time.well done guys and see you again soon .

This hotel is good and the most important thing about this hotel is that it is in the lively beach of Patong. The rooms are in a good size and the lobby is quiet big and. The food is very delicious and from different types of cusines.

The hotel can arrange trips to different attractions in Phuket and the staff is very friendly and helpful.
