Pakasai hotel is in a fantastic spot in Ao Nang - close enough to walk to the shops, restaurant and ao nang beach (5 mins), but secluded enough to feel you are in a tropical paradise.

The resort is relatively small compared to the large hotels in Phuket, but this only adds to its charm. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and clean and are equipped with umbrellas, beach mats and beach bags which you can take out during the day. (small things like this really do make a difference when you are participating in day trips to the surrounding islands). Likewise, Pakasai has a computer in the lounge which offers free internet access to guests, dvd player in the rooms and books and dvd's to borrow from reception.

What makes this hotel a cut above the rest is the friendly staff. I cannot emphasize how friendly, and customer service orientated they are. When we were sick they gave us free stomach cramp and anti nausea tablets, everything they did was with a smile.

If you are staying in Ao Nang, Krabi i definitely recommend the Pakasai resort.

I stayed at the Pakasai with a friend for a week at the end of November, having been to this resort before. The location suited us being in a quiet spot yet only minutes walk to the beachfront. Our superior room was high up on the hill needing a climb of many steps, which helped shed some calories but might not suit a less able person, although there are rooms near to reception. The room was huge with an enormous bathroom area closed off when required with opaque sliding partitions. I agree with other reviewers that the bed was hard, but it still offered me a good night's rest. Breakfast was slightly above avaerage with good choices, but it still gets a bit monotonous if you stay for a week as we did. Staff were very friendly and efficient, although on checkout there was a delay whilst the minibar was checked. (These things have caused me more delays on checking out than anything else!) The pool was clean and refreshing after a day out in the sun. We liked the beach mats and beach towels, as well as the umbrellas in the room, as it poured on two occasions, it being the low season. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider returning to the Pakasai next time we visit Ao Nang.

The Hotel looks great, but has a very chlorinated pool with the constant sound of construction in the background.
The rooms are large but the hot water did not work.
The biggest problem was the bed, it is as hard as a rock and the pillows are the same. I'm a deep sleeper but even I could not get a good night sleep. We are out of here!!

After having read the positive reviews on the Pakasai we arrived on Friday 3 October and asked if they had a couple of rooms. We were upgraded to the Adora rooms at a very good low season rate. The Pakasai is a reasonably sized hotel, good for mixed parties and couples. It is tucked away up a small driveway just past the bridge in Ao Nang and has a super swimming pool, perfectly clean and with excellent service at the bar area. We also took full advantage of the Happy Hour before walking down the main resort street. There are plenty of shops and agencies where you can book trips to the Phi Phi islands. The hotel is very hospitable and we enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed 4 nights in total.

  • Liked — Spacious rooms with outside bar, free internet access and great pool
  • Disliked — The odd mosquito bite, cover up well

Stayed here after the Krabi Resort, (2 Mins apart ) and the main difference is the standard of decor, the pakasai has moderrn room design, of a 5 star hotel room.....we got upgraded to the ADORA rooms ....and the staff are better trained....

Bathtub on the balcony was unusual tho private

The pool has depth of 1.20 mtrs so well suited to families with young kids...

And with TUK TUK outside all parts of AO NANG are only 5 minutes away..

Good choice for those that like the comforts of a 5 star hotel room...

  • Liked — no smoking hotel..unusual inn thailand
  • Disliked — very shallow pool
