“Very nice, but very crowdy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

We traveled with Phuket Brother Travel because all the others were boked. They are cheaper, but stay away. The pier is very bad, and the crowdy boat had to wait to 10 am to get enough water to leave the pier. Our friends had much better experience with Seastar. Their tour boat is of higher class and theirs boat leave from high class the Royal phuket Marina.

“Day Trip to Phi Phi Island”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

In short its not worth the trip. You spend 7-8 hours in total travel on snorkal for 1 hour and have a cold lunch for 1 hour. The island itself is run down with cheap shops. There is a hotel or 2 there and seems people who stay there may enjoy, but for the day trip not worth it.

“Beautiful beaches”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 4, 2013

As what expected, it's a beautiful island. I went twice to the viewpoint, for sunset and early in the morning the next day just for reading. The view from the view point is amazing!

However, it's a lil bit packed with tourist.

“Best party town in Thailand”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

On the plane over to Phuket we met a few people who were staying on the island. We decided to give it a go and stay there overnight. After one night we were hooked and stayed for another night, it would have been a LOT longer if not that we had to leave. The island is a young Europeans, Australians and South Americans party paradise. The night life has no prostitutes, no Russians and everyone is unbelievably friendly. The bars and nightly beach party (mini full moon party) are too much fun. For a 20-30 year old party tourist this island is an absolute must. Be prepared for sleep deprivation.

“Lots of swimming, snorkeling, and sightseeing via speedboat, All in one”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

This is an activity that involves lots of swimming.

Booked via hotel tour desk, this tour will cost you Thai Baht 8250 (£185) for 2 adults and 1 child. Inclusive of hotel transfers, drinks and fruit on the boat, and buffet lunch, this tour is very popular. Normally, pick up time from Karon at 0830 and return by 1830. Transfer time from Karon hotels to Phuket Marina, about one hour, with another hour to Phi Phi island. About 25 ppl per speed boat, the trip is well organised.

The island trips are varied. There are 2-3 snorkeling stops and 2- 3 stops to various islands including monkey beach, maha bay, and the popular beach used in L di Carpio movie, The Beach for walking and swimming. Island scenery comprises spectacular limestone cliffs and caves. Buffet lunch, good.

Snorkeling gears and fins provided but masks and fin size under 10 not always a good fit. Safety features on the boats appear vary depending on operator but generally pretty lax. Guides fairly helpful but dependent on language mix on the boat. Overall, the Phi Phi island day tour is considered a worthwhile trip when weather conditions are good and reasonable value for money.

Word of caution: Speed boat not recommended if pregnant and maybe should be avoided when sea conditions are rough. Trip not recommended for small children under five.

Tips:
Bring your own towel and lots of sun cream.
Best to avoid staying at open decks as the deck plates gets very hot and higher sun burn risk. Inside seats more comfortable.
