“Fun, Sun, and the Ladyboy!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2011

Had an awesome trip to Phi Phi with a stunning! Ladyboy Stephanie!! :) Took a speedboat to 4 different islands during our stay in Patong. I have never seen such beautiful beaches - sky blue/emerald green waters with white sand. The tour was fun and very amusing with Stephanie in tow - with an awesome lunch of Thai soup and fried chicken. Did some awesome snorkelling as well. Will post pics soon.

“Had an amazing time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2011

Ok, so it is crowded and it is getting very very touristy with all the shops, but you need to plan the trip right to really enjoy the beauty of this fantastic place. The beaches are simply amazing, especially Lo Dalum beach in Phi Phi Don and Maya beach in Phi Phi Leh. The sea shelf is so shallow that it is wonderful to just walk very far out into the water. And the snorkeling at Maya was simply awesome with all the colorful fish.
Don't even try the day trips- one, they are too short for you to really sit back and enjoy these places, and two, you'l be surrounded by throngs, yes literally throngs of people. Instead take a ferry to Phi Phi Don and stay there overnight. That way you can enjoy the Lo Dalum beach and also the beach parties if that's what you fancy. And early next morn-say 730 AM- take a long-tail boat to Phi Phi Leh well before the group tours start. You'll be amazed at the beauty of this beach in seclusion! It is out of the world.

“Worth the trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 1, 2011

We did the speedboat tour to Khai Island, Phi Phi and Maya Bay. Yes there are a lot of tourists but for good reasons. Maya Bay was amazing. There is an area roped off for swmming. As most tourists there wont go out of standing depth, just go through and swim in that beautiful warm, clear water. Lay back, look out to sea and you could imagine yourself alone. The walk is good but it doesn't leave much time for a swim. Phi Phi Don doesn't have the greatest lunch buffet but it was ok. Walk over to the otherside where it is not as crowded and there are better facilities. Khai island has some nice beach bars to sit and have a cocktail or two. We had a swim. You snorkel with the fish but take some extra bread like we did as you only get a small bit from the tour operators. Just looking at the scenery from the boat is lovely. We did the Sea Angel tour. I can give you a contact for booking the tour if you want to send a message that is reliable.

“Nice beaches, but full of tourists”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2011

We went on a tour that included Phi Phi, Maya and the Monkey beach: the scenery is wonderful, but the huge number of tourists kinda spoil it. Maya beach was so full of boats that you could hardly swim...

“Not the best, more a disapointment”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2011

Went on a daytrip aswell as Phi Phi Leh Maya bay and weirdly ot felt better as bigger and felt like less compact of people but to be truely honnest there is as much as people, even more but just spreadout.

We walked around and the nice thing is that you can find nice quiet spot and that is when we really enjoyed the island. Beach is beautiful, turquoise water.

The rest seems the proper tourist side with many stalls trying to sell you anything and bars with loud music day and night.

My tip would be to spend a at least a night there not necesserly on the front beach to avoid the music that apparently goes until 3 to 4am but make the most of that stay by going to Maya bay in an early trip before all the boats arrive.
