A great find in a tucked away location, by a picturesque stretch of quiet coastline, and sat between the backpacker hostels and the 5 star resorts it pulls a real mix of holidaymakers. Pete is front of house in this family owned business, as an ex-scuba instructor and having lived in the area for over 20 years he's a human version of Trip Advisor on the whole of Thailand. Lucky for us the bar was quiet and he shared his stories as he served draft Singha. Behind the scenes his partner Bea, she's Thai and deserves her own Food Network cooking show as she is a master at knocking up delicious food, her menu covers a few western pub grub options but it would be a crime not to sample her family recipes.
There's a pool table and a dart board, very clean facilities and a wide selection of drinks - but they admitted that some cocktails left them stumped! The friendly ambience created by the couple soon had everyone chatting in the bar, we went in for one and end up having a few extra "ones for the road".
