“Really good base to travel Krabi & surrounding areas.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2014

Although a fair distance from the town centre we found this hotel to be a really good base. There is a free shuttle bus every 2 hours. The rooms are big. The pool is a really good feature. Relaxed atmosphere. Manageress is really helpful in advising on tours; island hopping, cooking classes etc. doesn't get 5 stars as room didn't get cleaned, although if this was requested I imagine it quid not have been a problem, and like many places in thailand the bed was a bit on the hard side. Originally booked 2 days, stayed 5. Restaurant next door, but we did not use this- instead taking the 6pm bus into town returning on the 8/10pm one.

Nice place to stay, have stayed here 6 nights. Friendly staff, great swimmingpool. Location is not so good, but u can rent a motorbike or take the free shuttlebus to town. At the receptions u can book all the trips or tours, staff speaks very good English compared to other places in Thailand

Turned up after a long trip and was pleasantly suprised to get a room with 2 double beds for 650baht! Restaurant was closing so they took us on bikes to closest street food. Nice big rooms (but only get cleaned when you Check out or ask). Could book travel at reception. Hotel is 10mins from krabi town (taxi drivers don't know where hotel is) but they provide a free shuttle every 2hours not that there is much to do in krabi! Restaurant is pretty average and quite slow better to head into town. Overall the hotel is good!

We spent 5 nights here and we were very dissapointed. First of all none of the staff speak english so you dont get any or very wrong information.the room is large but the bathroom is very dirty and doesnt ever get cleaned. Also we had to ask for the daily room cleaning because they "forgot" it the first day. The worst however was the included breakfast. When we came the "buffett" (some white toast and a bit pineapple) was always empty and no one cared. The staff was sitting in the kitchen playing on their cellphone. When we asked them to fill up the buffett they only gave us (after 10 min) a tiny plate of pineapple and we did not dare to ask again. Except for us there was barely anyone here. Also in ao nam there is nothing to see. Just one street, the pier,2 restaurants and a minimarket. It is really sad having to write so much bad stuff because the hotel itself has a lot of potential because of its closeness to railay and the nice architecture and terrasse with seaview. But there are just sooo many bad things that ruin the whole stay. I wouldnt necessarily call it a bad hotel. If they would improve the service, cleaness and restaurant it would be nice to stay here but until then the prices are completely unreasonable.better stay somewhere else

I stayed here for 2 nights with my friends over new year 2013/14 and we thought it was brilliant. The room was large, had a/c and a fan, tv, fridge, large bathroom with hot shower (a rarity so far on our backpacking journey) and was very clean. We asked for fresh towels daily and this was no problem. Hotel manager tammy was brilliant - polite, friendly and so so helpful. She organised taxis, next accommodation, trips and bus / boat tickets for us at reasonable prices and recommended the best things to do in the area. The hotel did all our laundry for a decent price and we got it back the next day. Hotel ran a shuttle bus several times a day into krabi town and back for free which we used. Hotel has a pool which we really really enjoyed. Has restaurant on the grounds where there is cheap and nice food however did take a long time to arrive. Staff at restaurant were friendly though. Free wifi and rooms were reasonable price. Would recommend.

Under no circumstances go here. We booked this hotel because we were told it was in the centre of Krabi. After two Tuk-Tuk rides to the back of beyond in darkness (the drivers did not know where the resort was) we arrived at this resort where we received no welcome. We tried to order dinner with a very young girl who was obviously not a waitress and in her limited English was told most of the things on the menu were not available and what did eventually arrive was not what we ordered. The lights to the dining area kept going off, as if to hurry us up and so we gave up waiting for food to arrive and went to bed. The room was OK. The next morning was even worse as we discovered we really were in the middle of nowhere, and in fact on a swamp, which is charmingly described as a mangrove. Mosquito heaven. The hotel appeared to cater for northern Thai people coming for a Karaoke break. The manager eventually appeared and to give him his due he did suggest we take a long boat out to Railay Island to the sister resort called Diamond Cave Resort. Another Swiss couple had experienced the same as us and all 4 of us were transported to the other complex which was OK. This experienced soured our first taste of Thailand completely.
