“Highlight of Kanchanaburi”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 11, 2013

On is friendly and energetic and her food is consistently delicious and one of the best values found in town. She speaks excellent English and gives great insight about Thai food and culture - you will want to return again and again to try everything on her menu and just to talk to her. HIGHLY recommend her cooking class. She took us to the market with her in the morning where it seems everybody knows her. She explained all the various produce and even bought extra treats for us to sample for breakfast before we returned later in the day for our lesson. You will eat and take away so much food after your class so come hungry. Truly an experience not to be missed during your stay in Kanchanaburi.

“Great food, freshly cooked, full of flavour”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

When we arrived in Kanchanaburi we spotted this restaurant but also saw the sign saying it was closed for New Year until our last night in town. As veggies, we decided to eat here when it was open. The restaurant is small and seats around 16 people with On doing all the cooking from a small wok station on the street. She does everything herself. When we arrived the restaurant was full so we called back 10 minutes later when tables were free. As any veggie knows it is great to look at a menu knowing you can try anything and so we went for a soup, curry dish and noodles with rice. Each dish was brought as it was prepared and everything we ate was delicious and had the complexity of flavour that characterises Thai food. Water is provided free of charge and the menu includes a variety of shakes but On did say that you can take any drink in with you if you prefer (inc beer etc). The menu pricing is simple with all dishes priced at 40 Baht, representing excellent value for really good food.

“AMAZING”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

Absolutely incredible. Nothing I've eaten since has been very good because I ate here. It really heightens your expectations. The owner is so cute and funny too. Amazing!

“Best cooking class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 15, 2012

I've had other more expensive cooking lessons in thailand but On's was the best. The taste and the relaxed atmosphere was great and just hanging out in her restaurant was really enjoyable. I felt like On was an old friend after just a couple of meals and a lesson. She is a remarkable lady with a talent for great cooking and making people feel comfortable.

“Lovely food lovely lady”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

I was recommended On's restaurant by 2 fellow Vegans, and it was a great recommendation. I spent 3 days in Kanchanaburi and ate at On's for every meal. On is a hard working and very friendly lady. She took time to know my name and ask about me, and I noticed she knew a lot of the other customers by name. Repeat customers seemed common. She cooks the most beautiful food. My personal favourites are the Massaman Curry and also the Curry Fried Rice.
