“Interesting History”

It was interesting to see and walk over the bridge, that has so much history and stardom. Lots of shady spots and refreshments along with souvenirs available.

“Dusk the best time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

A must see whilst in the area, it can get busy at peak times and over Buddha holidays, but do at duck as the sun sets and the lights come on, it's quite a remarkable place.

Take the plunge and walk across the bridge on the tracks it really is an experience not to be missed.

Wonderful, moving and historic

“Short Visit required”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

Following trips to the Kanchanaburi Cemetery and the Burma Railway Museum, this should be your next stop - if only for a photo opportunity and to walk over the bridge.
There is a train that goes over the bridge for those who'd want to, but a short walk in the heat was more than enough. There looked to be a museum here as well, but we didn't go in.

However, there are a couple of guys running 'long tail' rides up and down the river, for a small fee I would suggest you give this a go - a cool change, a bit of scenery and fun.
