My wife gifted us a trip to this marvelous place for my birthday.

A very nice and quiet place. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room opened out on to the pool.

In terms of extras, they had motor-bikes that we rented to go around town (it is a small town and we did the whole place in about a day).

Highly recommended for anyone making a trip to Hua Hin and even to Thailand. A much better destination than Pattaya or any of the more frequented destinations by tourists.

The breakfast is so so. As good or bad as any other buffet breakfast I have had in Thailand. We didn't try the restaurant. We walked down to town (maybe about a kilometer away. don't bother with hiring local transport. It is very expensive.) and ate all our meals there. We even gave Pizza Hut and McDonald' a try. (Who knew that McD's also served fried chicken a la KFC). the local variations to their regular menu were quite interesting.

My wife also convinced the staff to get a cake and do up the outside of the room for an impromptu birthday party. Quite awesome.

Minor nitpicks aside, we thoroughly enjoyed out trip here. Highly recommended.

I stayed at Putahracsa for a week in April, booked through Travelbag. When we first arrived I was a little worried that Hua Hin wasn't the typical idylic Thai resort but as soon as I stepped into Putahracsa I changed my mind. This hotel is so chilled and amazing value for money (£60 a night for the room). Staff were great offering free iced tea and flannels around the pool and the restaurants were amazing. Food and drink in the hotel was similar to UK prices, which is expensive for Thailand and you could get some much better deals down in town but it was great for a treat. Hua Hin itself has a great day market selling fresh fish, meat etc- a real expereince. I took a cooking course at the Sofitel for c.£30 which was great for learning the core Thai dishes. Thai boxing ws good and the night markets and shopping mall good for a stroll on an evening.

There are quite a few 'girly bars' and if you took a wrong turning it was slightly like stepping into a red light district but you can easily last a week without seeing this area. Day trips wise I would recommend Koh Tao and Monkey Hill.

I stayed at the pool villa of Putahracsa. I had a really good time staying there. Service from the villa host was great. Room is well designed & very comfortable. Breakfast was nice. Spa service was also good. Very close to the night market.

We just got back from a 4 day stay. Wonderful property with clean deco not scarifying comfort. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful. We made a mistake in the dates for our golf booking, the staff stepped in and saved the day by convincing the golf folks to squeeze us in. The food was delicious too! I would come back again anytime.
