I was tricked to stay in this hotel because of the positive reviews here. Booked a week in june-08 through another website as the hotel never answered emails regarding a reservation.

Rooms are nice, but that's the only thing I can say is positive in this review. (deluxe room)

Food was terrible. They had under 10 different thai dishes and the 3 or 4 of them I tried tasted really bad.

Service is not good. In thailand I'm used to in 9/10 cases to have all my orders taken at my table, and in 1/10 cases order myself in the bar. Here they didn't even have someone in the bar section so you have to tell the reception who will call up someone to serve your drinks.

BTW, everything closes at 10:30PM at this hotel.

On the third day of my stay I just had to move to another hotel so I visited Hilton in Hua Hin and made a reservation for room and pickup the day after. At the same time I told my website I booked through about this. They contacted the hotel about this and no refund was possible for the 4 nights early checkout. So they (the hotel) required full payment.

On the day of my early checkout they never asked me why I checked out so early and moved to Hilton. Instead they said:

"Thanks for staying with us, hope to see you again!"

While in my limousine heading for Hilton I thought to myself. I must write a little warning about this hotel on tripadvisor as I don't want anyone else to get tricked staying here.

My partner and I stayed at Wora Bura for 10 nights last year and absolutely loved it. Our third time back to Thailand (been to various other places throughout) over the last 3 years. We had a deluxe room which was perfect, we also believe the difference between the deluxe room and the superior room is only about 6 feet. The Pool restaurant (along the Italian) which is close to the beach and has a grassed area outside.
We tended to have lunch by the pool daily. The Chef was a lady who truley enjoyed that my partner chose to eat Tahi food (others ordering hamburgers, chips etc etc, so she always gave him a big grin whenever he ordered his lunch. It truely is so relaxing and if you need an injection of noise and shopping, Hua Hin is only 5 minutes by taxi, or you can go by the WB shuttle bus. We met a beautiful thai girl who has reasonably good english, she works in the main (breakfast) restaurant, we became good firend sand took her out with us on a couple of occassions. We were going to book to go back again next month in July, but the rates seemed to have increased somewhat. We have chosen to go to Bali as we have not been back for 9 years. We thoroughly recommend the Wora Bura, it is safe, relaxing and the staff are fantastic, especially Anne. I still talk to her on email and hope to visit again again.

We booked this hotel based on the tripadvisor reviews and were
so glad that we did.
The staff were helpful and friendly , lovely, good sized room
comfortable bed, everything you could want in the room even down to a beach bag and flip flops.
It was my husbands birthday whilst we were staying there and
he received a cake iced with his name and a small gift which was a really nice touch.
The hotel was very relaxing had a great pool and it was nice
to be able to walk along the beach and stop at one of the beach bars for a drink.
I can also recommend the spa at the hotel not cheap but well worth the money.
breakfast was excellent and the one time we had dinner in the
hotel it was most enjoyable.
If you want to stay in a hotel that has its own individual style
rather than the big chain hotels then you cant go wrong with this hotel.

stayed here with my wife for 10 days in a delux room. Arrived at 09.30hrs from Bangkok and we only had to wait for 45 minutes until our room was ready for us. Everything about the hotel was lovely. The room was spotless, the breakfast was good with plenty of choice both western and far eastern cuisine. The sevice around the pool was good. The bus service to the main town is very handy and was never full. All staff were friendly and very helpful. Would certainly reccomend this hotel to our friends.
