This hotel hands down is among the finest I have ever stayed. The service was "above and beyond" and the rooms and grounds just amazing. There was a great international Jazz festival on the beach just in front of the Hotel but all the luxury amenities were maintained just as we had hoped. We felt so special there and would love to visit again if our path takes us there.

We stayed in an executive villa with pool for 6 nights. It was bliss. The breakfast was very good but the food in the restaurants was average. The only disappointing feature was the executive lounge that was understaffed and under resourced when most people wished to avail of a pre-dinner drink.
The pool villa was fresh and spotless and room and hotel service was excellent.
This hotel is perfect for couples who want very little to do for a few days except rest and enjoy peace and quiet in tranquil and beautiful surroundings. The choice of private pool, hotel pools or the beach was a wonderful option. Plus it's in a great location for walks around the town. I'll be back when it's time for a serious rest!

During our recent 2-night stay in Hua Hin, we found the Sofitel Hua Hin to be a romantic, relaxing, and charming hotel.

As we pass the gate guard to the property, we were saluted and offered a “good evening sir”. The hotel itself is a historical landmark worthy of the restoration the Sofitel (Accor) company has put forth. The three pools are all well-staffed and maintained. The breakfast buffet was tasty and affordable by U.S. standards; however, overall the hotel restaurants and poolside services are rather pricey (120 baht, more than 3 USD, for a Coke Light?)

Something to be aware of: We booked the hotel on Expedia and at checkout we were told we needed the receipt from Expedia to prove we paid. We had to go to the library and print the receipt from e-mail, which I found odd. Not a problem, just a little annoying.

Overall, I would recommend the hotel for grounds, facilities, and services. There are plenty of places to eat that are more affordable (try La Paillote, a French/Thai restaurant with a fabulous fish with lime plate).

From the moment we arrived at the main hotel reception and were put into the cart to go to the villa - the driver told us where things were and the gardens were just spectacular with the giants elephants ect. The road between the main resort and villas always had securtiy which we were given 5 star service to cross the road - the security guards always had a smile on their face and always with a salute which we loved. Our villa was without doubt a magnificent experience - our own private pool out the front with night lights and complete privacy. The room it self was lovely, with seperate dressing room. Out the back was our fantastic outdoor bath and 2nd shower - what an experience. Gekkos, squirels and many birds and coconuts were our neighbours. We also could see the beach from our villa. Breakfast was a delight 5 days out of 7 - having a buffet with anything you could imagine - either inside in airconditioning or around the pool. 2 days we had different staff and our eggs of choice were cold when delivered. The Sofitel Club was good - with snacks available throughout the day - always very nice - but to buy a drink whether a juice or alcohol was so overpriced and the service very slow. The staff usually would collect your plate after you had eaten and you felt like they were saying you have eaten enough now leave. The shops were all very nice, the shop where you could buy things from the Sofitel was lovely and very reasonable priced. To walk out of the resort from the villas was just an invasion of umberellas and restraunts - which in the mornings were nice and quiet but such a shame to be spoiling the beach, but even infront of the hotel the beach was very rocky .We walked down to Monkey Island which was great but no Monkeys.
Our main road outside was a street with a small market - fantastic - we could walk to anywhere-most nights eating at the restaraunts at the piers - all the ones we tried were so reasonable priced and the white white even more reasonable. The shops all around were quiet nice. The night market was fantastic - on every night i think and was so busy and the food they cooked up was just huge and looked great. A walk around the railway station and a look around the fire station was quiet another experience. Overall we had a great time in like a country atmosphere and not many English speaking people. An experience im glad to have had
