This was my family's second stay in a two-month span at Baan Duangkaew Resort and our second stay was just as nice as our first. Quiet little facility with a few dozen bungalows and two nice swimming pools encased in a warm tropical environment. Very little noise other than the beating of drums from the nearby Hyatt Resort each evening around 7 p.m. Otherwise, family oriented and a great place for kids to run around and swim in the warm pools. There is a short walk to the beach, which is not within view of the grounds, but we found ourselves enjoying this hotel more than many beachside resorts due to quiet atmosphere and tropical environment. Courteous staff, speaks English, good rates and nice little restaurant on site. Very short drive into Hua Hin proper, as well as a 20 minute walk to nearby Takiab mountain and fishing village. We plan to return with our four-year old many more times.

“Romantic Bungalow”

Baan Duangkaew Resort offers romantic, tucked away bungalows set in a beautiful tropical garden. The bungalows are surprisingly private and the rooms were beautiful, with high ceilings and large windows overlooking a private balcony. Only two complaints: the two pools were rather small and unimpressive and breakfast was uninspired - (i.e. a breakfast sauage isnt a deep fried hot dog in my book). Otherwise, great place and we'll be back there.

Our family (including 2 girls ages 4 and 6) loved B.D. The staff were warm and friendly - this is a great place to bring children. The little bungalow we stayed in was immaculately clean, very tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. It was simple, but luxurious. We came to Hua Hin after our 21 hour flight from the States. This was the perfect starting point for our trip. FYI - the restaurant has very good Thai food, and is the most reasonably priced in the immediate area. Down the street, Let's Sea is also a great restaurant with an ocean view (and for some reason, an AMAZING bathroom), but you'll pay double what you'd pay at B.D. The beach is just a few minutes from the resort - and what a beach! Walk no further than the Thai massage tents. We got our cheapest and best massages in Hua Hin on the beach.

I could write an essay on how good this place is but I will keep it brief. I wanted a couple of days away on my own for peace and quiet and this place fitted the bill perfectly. Little cottages set amongst absolutely stunning garden surroundings. If you are considering booking this hotel then just do it! You won't be disappointed.

“Great place”

WOW What a great place. Just spent 5 nights there and we LOVED it. The units are top cabin. All close to a pool. They have two. Grounds and well maintained and just so pretty.
Walk to the beach is not far and a good way to get the early morning blood flowing.
Staff were all very nice. We had a massage three days in a row.
They were great. In a massage room where a couple can get a massage side by side.
So many great places in town built out onto the water to eat fresh seafood.
Make sure you walk the grounds of as many of the large resorts as you can. Some are really really nice but you ave to pay the big bucks to stay there. We had some really great meals at some of the bigger hotels.
Want a small quiet place where you can really relax this is the place.
No Americans to be seen for miles.
