“THE place for coffee in Hua Hin/Khao Takiab”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 4, 2013

This is a great place for coffee , breakfast , lunch or dinner. The hosts Indy and Node will cook you whatever you request if its not on the menu. Even the resident dogs Pella and Kesha are great. If you want noodles then this is the best place for them in Hua Hin/Takeab. If you want great food, in a great little restaurant in a true village in Takiab then this is the place to go . We now go everyday for coffee/brekky and once a week for dinner . I also eat lunch there quite regularly.

“AMAZING PLACE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013

We have just returned from Hua Hin after eating at the yummy cafe attached to sea harmony. We noticed the cafe on walking past and remarked on how pretty and clean it looked compared to others so decided to try it out the next day. We were greeted by the most amazing staff (we are so sorry not to know their names but by our review you will know who you are). One of the ladies was learning German from a book to improve her future and we have to say it was one of the most hilarious things we have witnessed. She was so so funny. Such determination.

We ordered a couple of starters and then a delicious main course. Whilst chatting we mentioned how we loved cooking thai food in the UK and wanted to get some lemongrass and kaffir lime leaves. Before we knew it the family had head off on their motorbike and returned with both which they bought locally for us. They knew we wanted some galangal as well so told us to pop back tomorrow. We returned the following day for lunch as it was so yummy. Within minutes, we were greeted with some galangal and even more lemongrass as they told us it was fresher and they were not totally happy with what they had given us the day before. The food was amazing and all at a reasonable price.

What an amazing family run cafe and guest house. Thank you so much we fly home tomorrow and look forward to using our fresh ingredients.

Thank you. Jon and Helen xx

“YummycChoice!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

We decided on breakfast here after walking past the day before & receiving an inviting smile. Great choice we made. After a brief, informative visit with owner Indy, we took her suggestion & went with the western breakfast with a pot of tea. Toast, jam, eggs, bacon, ham, sausage, tomatoes was all wonderful. We enjoyed ours at a table right on the sidewalk. Perfect spot on a rainy Tues morning. We shall return for a coffee, some noodles & more conversation with the lovely owner Indy & partner Node prior to departing Hua Hin for our home in Bangkok. A definite return!

“Best coffee in Thailand - by far”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

Yummy Corner is a must visit! Node and Indy (the owners) completed a barista course in Australia and they know their coffee. They have all types of coffee available, including the traditional Thai coffee called Primitive Coffee. Yummy Corner also offers the traditional Thai breakfast of soup with chicken, rice and herbs, my 11 year old son absolutely adored it. During the day, Yummy Corner provides Thai noodles with chicken, beef or pork and its delicious and only 20 baht!, there is also superb ice cream, it was great to drop in the late afternoon for coffee and ice cream and to watch the street buzzing. Highly highly recommended

“Yummy, casual - innovative - inexpensive”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

Recently I spend some time at the sleepy Takiab Village at the southern end in Hua Hin. There are a wide variety of accommodations and Restaurants from casual to upscale. The place I enjoyed hanging out the most was the Yummy Corner.

Node and Wife Indy have created a very comfortable yet interesting and creative designed place to hang out to enjoy the little pleasures of life, like a great Cup of Coffee, or Beer, enjoy his unique Boat Noodle reminding me of the one we had at the Floating Market (just better and a must try) Besides the Noodle Soup is a great value enjoyed (intense flavors of his special Soup Broths) even if you just come in from the Beach. Yummy Corner looks also more appealing and inviting than some of the other places around.

Node and wife Indy have spend some time in Australia and are well traveled and speak excellent English actually better than mine. They are a great source of information and are always eager to help. They also manage the Sea Harmony Guest house around the Corner.
