I have been meaning to write a review of the Hilton Hua Hin since our fabulous holiday there last August! We made the booking through Hayes and Jarvis and a private transfer was included from Bangkok to Hua Hin. On arrival our driver advised us that we could take a seat and someone from the hotel would be with us in a minute. After about 10 seconds we were offered a cold towel and glass of cold tea. We were then informed that we had been upgraded to the executive floor for our 10 day holiday with free cocktails, nibbles and drinks in the executive lounge. Wonderful!! We tried so many drinks and got to admire the beautiful view night after night. My fiance and I honestly cant fault this hotel - the service is fantastic and the rooms are great - very bright, spacious and airy. We actually stayed in 2 different room types - a delux suite and a pacific suite and they were both lovely. The bathroom on the pacific suite is huge - larger than you would ever need and probably not worth paying extra for. I would definately recommend that you upgrade to the executive floor if u can tho - it will save you a lot of money in terms of free drinks, snacks etc!! We ate in the hotel during the day because it was convenient but at night we tended to go out as there is lots of choice and the prices in the hotel are much higher than the very cheaply priced local restaurants (still very reasonable tho). There is also great beauty salons right acroos from the hotel which offer very cheap massages, manicures, oeducares etc. Also had a massage in the hotel which was lovely and probably about the same as you would pay back home (£35 for an hour). We also did jet ski-ing very close to the hotel for £15 for 2 of us on a double jet ski; There is also lots of day trips you can do such as elephant trekking and visits to temples. Also great night markets - dont rival bangkok but still lots of opportunity to buy souvenirs, clothes etc . Overall I would definately recommend Hua Hin and in August the weather was very good with little rain. Its probably the place you would only visit once tho - beach is nice but not white sands you would expect from Thailand altho we were made aware of this by travel agent before we booked.

My wife and I stayed here for 1 week in March --- we enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Hua Hin. Very beautiful resort , perfect location , wonderful service more on that later. Lets start with negative --- Only one problem for our stay. We booked this holiday 11 months ago and we emailed the hotel regarding limousine pick up from Bangkok Airport to the hotel ---- so we received confirmation from hotel reservation via our email inaddition the hotel required credit card for guarantee the limousine service which was fine we send it to them and we thought everything is sorted. On the day we left the UK we emailed the hotel to remind them regarding the limousine pick up because we thought we made this booking long time ago so just to be sure that is all arrange. Surprise Surprise ! we arrived at Bangkok Airport from Chiang Mai --- nobody from Hilton Hua Hin waiting for us at all --- so we tried to contact the hotel can't get through on the phone for over an hour ( we found out that the storm hit Hun Hin on that morning and all power was shut that's why the telephone lines doesn't work -- bad luck) ---- we did ask the Airport Information counter to announce for Hilton Hua Hin Airport Rep so nobody turn up to meet us --- we met Shangri-La Hotel Apt Rep and we asked them for help (we stayed there before we went up to Chiang Mai) they contacted Hilton Airport Rep for us in the end we meet up with Airport Rep and a very surprise when she said no booking for hotel limousine to take us to Hilton Hua Hin SHOCKED. Finally, they arranged for us to come with Airport Limousine not hotel one that we have booked. We arrived at the hotel with a very unpleasant feeling about Hilton Hua Hin but after we met Director of Operations on the next day --- he apologised for our problem cause by their own operations ---- he offered us some compensation that we accepted. Now start with all the positive things.

Arrival: Apart from limousine problem --- everything was smooth. Sit down check in is very relaxing and they serving you cold towel and welcome drink --- that make you feel ready to start your holiday.

Room: We stayed in Deluxe Pacific Suite on 14th floor very good size --- seperate bedroom and living room --- the most beautiful thing about this room is panoramic seaview.

Restaurants & Bars: We ate a few times in the hotel restaurants --- The Market Restaurant very good for breakfast and lunch --- very nice ambiance and good service. Hilton Brewery very good BBQ seafood and some nice cocktails they also have local live band perform everynight. Milestone Bar on the lobby floor is our favorite very comfortable seating and listening to the Phillippino Trio Band even more fantastic so make sure you visit here and have a few drinks.

Location: Right in the middle of the town --- lots of restaurants & bars on your door step very reasonable price. Internet Cafes just opposite the hotel and also lots of Currency Exchange much better rate than in the hotel. Many retail shops too so we have to say fantastic location. Hua Hin Market Village is the only big shopping complex in the area that got everything you possibly wish for --- restaurants , shops , Tesco etc. You have to take Tuk Tuk from the hotel cost THB 100 per way.

Overall we had a very enjoyable vacation here and we will be back in the near future.

When we first walked onto the beach from the hotel, we felt disappointed, but once past all the sunbeds and umbrellas to the right, we could see how attractive the beach is beyond this point. Most days we spent a few hours walking along the shore before settling down with a book or simply soaking up the sun. We actually had the best of both worlds, with a sunbed by the hotel pool, and the option of a dip in the pool or the very warm sea. We loved the Hilton, but chose to have lunchtime and evening drinks outside the hotel, as the hotel drinks were very expensive compared to the beach shacks or bars. Evenings we ate at the various seafood restaurants along towards the pier, and had some nice meals. For a change, we ate twice at the Brewing Company, and can recommend this for barbecued/grilled food. The Mai Thai bar along the road from the Brewing Company served as a very friendly (and very busy) late evening stop for last drinks of the day. All in all, we had a very enjoyable holiday, and would definitely return to in the future.

My wife and I have just returned having spent eight nights at the hilton resort and spa Hua Hin. The hotel has an excellent location with all amenities on the door step. Our room on the Club Floor was spacious and clean. The bed was very comfortable and everything in working order. We had breakfast in the executive lounge and did not use the main restaurant so I cannot comment though the variety was better in the main restaurant. The hotel is in need of a re decorate however was very clean. The grounds are confined and this can lead to a shortage of lounge space though we did not have a problem getting sun loungers. The beach is not an option for lounging as it is affected by tide and the beach it self though rocky directly opposite the hotel is lovely for walking, best at low tide. Both my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel.
