“Nice way to spend your weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013

This is a place where not only tourists go but also locals go. Just like what everyone had mentioned below they have stalls where they sell food, trinkets and knick-knacks, lots of local artists paint at the spot and sell their works. Food is excellent, I recommend Pad Thai stall, coconut ice cream, mango with sticky rice for dessert... They were the best I've ever had in this entire trip!

“Not your usual market”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013 via mobile

Was really impressed with the stalls here, was able to buy some unique gifts from Thailand to take home. Great artwork as well. Food was lovely with plenty of variety. Purchase vouchers before hand. Good band playing and live theatre. Definitely worth a visit while in Hua Hin.

“Chic nigh market”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 28, 2013

After my seafood dinner, it's time to walk and relax at the night market..of course, I mean shopping time!!! The products here are chic and hand-made. I buy many creative and cute products that I can't find in Bangkok. Also, there is live band..they are very funny!! Definitely, I will go back there again :)

“Different sort of Market”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

We visited Cicada market by reading about it in the local paper. It is a different market in the sense you have to purchase your coupons and then use them around the various stalls. I am presuming this is because it is attached to the Hyatt Regency Hotel. The food was excellent and all very clean. There was a great variety of food. If you are worried about eating at local markets this is the market you should try as it is all so clean and I am sure all the food would be very safe to eat. You can also purchase beer and wine with your coupons and there are plenty of table and chairs to sit at. A little too organised for me but worth a visit.
Was slightly disappointed with the selection of non food stalls, I had read where there was lots of hand made crafts etc. However I found it very small and limited, maybe it was just the night we went.
We went there by Tuk Tuk slightly more than the 100B you pay to go everywhere else around the town. It cost us 200B to get there from the town and 300B to return, however it was a little way from town so not too bad.
Worth a visit for something a bit different.
