The first thing I noticed was the appearance of this restaurant.
From the outside it looked very stylish and fresh and I was just passing by with my taxi from the airport.
I was very surprised when I found out my hotel, the hidden gem Baan Khachathong, was right behind this place.
I would pass it every time I would leave or enter my hotel!
One evening I was hungry and I took a shot.
I entered 'Peppino' and was welcomed by a friendly Thai-gentleman.
The place was deserted and I was the only customer.
It was eight o'clock, it was low-season and the music that came from their boxes was very relaxing.
I liked the atmosphere.
The friendly host brought me a fine glass of red wine and recommended me the daily special 'Gnocci with gorgonzola'.
I ordered it but asked for a different sauce cause I dont like gorgonzola.
Bolognese it was!
As a starter I ordered fried shrimps and scallops.
The wine tasted good and was accompanied by some bread and green/black olives.
It didnt took long before my starter was being served.
The scallops and shrimps tasted freshly made and the sauce was creamy and fresh.
The dish was garned with some lettuce.
The main course was a nice pasta with a bolognese-sauce.
It was a nice meal.
Damage: Two courses and two glasses of wine.....>800 Baht.
Its not really expensive but i must admit it is a bit overpriced for a meal in Hua Hin, Thailand.
This costs 'Peppino' one dot at my overall rating.
