“Beautiful Boutique Resort in Hua Hin”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 1, 2014

Beautiful rooms and decor in an outstanding hotel. Highlights include: amazing buffet breakfast in the morning, beautiful large infinity pool, service outstanding, excellent restaurant (recommend the shrimp in tamarind sauce and crab meat in yellow curry), free shuttle to Hua Hin town 3x/day. There is ongoing construction at a neighboring site, but this did not bother us, but I could see how some guests could find this annoying if they are looking for quiet (cannot hear the construction from the rooms if the balcony door is closed). Beach front was nice, but not the best in Thailand (though this is not the hotel's fault). If you find yourself going to Hua Hin for a beach getaway, Yaiya is definitely the place to stay.

Dear valued guests
YaiYa wish to be a place for all guests who dream for a house (even a shack) on the beach somewhere to sleep tight, wake up and have nice breakfast, leisurely watch panorama-viewed of the gulf, be pampered, be quiet and breathe the air. Thank you for giving us a chance to be your house on the beach and your time writing a review on us. Have a wonderful days until we meet again

Before reservation, I was told that there was construction site nearby. When I checked-in, we found that it was so close and just besides the hotel.

We face the construction site directly from the terrace (the same eye level) and the construction work nearby started from 8:30am to 8:30pm which was so annoying (especially the induced noise) and we immediately asked for room change. Thanks for the helpful staff to arrange another room in 5th floor for us within few minutes. But the construction noise still made us try to avoid stepping into our terrace.

After exchanged to another room (room 55), we found that the door could not be closed well and there was a gap that someone could look inside. As it was too trouble to exchange another room again, I used a T-Shirt to fill the gap to solve the problem. Besides, the WiFi was bad on the first day but resumed normal on the 2nd day.

Overall, except the construction site nearby, the WiFI and door problem, the hotel is great with nice swimming pool (not too many people swim), beautiful beach, large bed, free drinks in mini-bar and excellence service. There are not many choice in breakfast but the quality is above standard. We ordered room service for our dinner, the food was delicious too. Moreover, the staff are helpful and nice but not all of them can speak good English.

Room Tip: Free car park. Shuttle bus is available at 11am, 2pm and 5pm. (Reservation is necessary)

We arrived at this delightful hotel, to learn that there was serious construction happening next door. We booked through Bookings.com and did not notice the "by the way" comment in the small print at the very bottom of the page. The front desk staff were so wonderful that not only did they allow us to cancel our booking, they actually found us another hotel of the similar standard, plus they transported us to the new hotel and came with to check that we liked it. The Ya Ya Resort offers beautiful rooms, some with private swimming pools, but most with sea view. The location is right on the lovely beach and the good news is that the building work is nearly finished. We will visit this hotel when we are next in Thailand and from what we saw, would certainly recommend it. It offers true Thai hospitality at its very finest!

Room Tip: Check that the building work has been completed

Dear valued guests
Thank you for choosing us among hundreds of hotels in the area and your time writing a review on us. We are a small owner-run hotel and of course, noises from neighbours affect us directly, compensation, room & F&B discounts are offered to all guests though we maintain our greenery oasis, facilities, in-room amenities, heartfelt service, and most of all - honesty. We thank all our guests for understanding and still enjoy being our valued guests (and this is tremendous for us, we can keep Yaiya for you all!). Wish you the rest wonderful holiday and hope to have a chance to welcome you again on your next visit.

My boyfriend took me to Yaiya for a surprise week long trip for my 21st birthday and it was the most perfect holiday I've ever been on.

We arrived after a long flight at about 1am and were met with flawless service- which was much appreciated after such a long and late flight. We were taken to our private villa and shown around, where we were literally both speechless at how beautiful, private and spacious our accommodation was! It was absolutely heaven, they had even gone to the added effort of putting a beautiful display of rose petals and love hearts over the four post bed. The following days were spent lazing in our private infinity pool, using the day bed/cabana to sip cocktails and have room service for lunch (VERY reasonably priced and absolutely delicious)

The restaurant was really lovely at night, all lit up by the main pool and plenty of room. Within view of the beach and through some lush gardens. The breakfast buffet each morning was really delicious, they cook to order bacon, sausages, eggs, anything you like. Yet you can also have fresh fruit, asian breakfast of noodles etc.. and fresh juice or smoothies! Option of having your breakfast brought to you in your villa too!

The staff are very very friendly and go out of their way to help you. There is a free shuttle to the main town daily which is really helpful, there are plenty of restaurants and bars in the town only a short ride from the resort. There is also an elephant village which I would highly recommend visiting!! amazing experience and again so close to Yiaya. There is also hua hin vineyards which are the most picturesque, serene surroundings to have lunch in- very reasonably priced and delicious food. ALL so close to the hotel and they will happily organise you a driver to take you around all day for a decent price.

Could not have been happier with where we stayed and it is hard to want to ever go anywhere else! The villa was just amazing, bed was unbelievably comfortable, the bath was gorgeous and again the private pool and cabana space was pretty unbeatable.

Can't wait to come back one day for another peaceful, relaxing getaway at Yiaya!

Room Tip: The Villas are incredibly spacious and well worth the money

Just spent 6 of the most relaxing days ever @ Yai Ya Resort following 3 hectic days in Bangkok to commence our holiday. Now what's not to like about our stay, let me think...absolutely nothing !!!
Everything from our original booking through the net with "Paratee" to the minute we departed was more than we expected including lovely room #44, comfy beds, amazing pool, excellent breakfast & staff who would go out of their way to assist one if required, the thrice daily o/w shuttle to the nearby city was also an unexpected provision. Both my wife & myself realized, by reading reviews, that construction (no fault of YaiYa), was being undertaken on either side of the resort, however those past guest reviewers who complained of undue noise must have selected hearing because it had little effect, if any, in disturbing our time there.
Would we stay at Yai Ya again.......SURELY WOULD !!!

Booked a sa sala pool villa for 8 nights but could only stand the noise from construction in next plot for 1 night as it went on until 8.30pm & checked out. (Think multiple hammers banging on metal for hours & you will understand what I mean.) Such a shame as it's a beautiful hotel. I don't want to put people off too much but want to be honest & would just urge caution when booking. Also did have some hassle in getting a refund so service could have been better.

Dear valued guest
Thank you for being our guest and contribute a review on us. Yes, of course, it is a shame that the noises outside Yaiya spoiled our oasis and disturbed your stay. The Manager of Yaiya put her effort to help dealing with your agency; and taken care on the refund, so sorry that the service of the agency did not go smooth as we thought it should be. Hope that one day when Yaiya return to its normal serene; you will be our valued guest once again
