Our group of 8 adults and 2 children were quite tired after a delayed flight into bangkok and a traffic ridden ride out of the city but walking into the hotel lobby at dusit thani hua hin changed everything. The welcome drink and the speedy check in greatly helped and we had a wonderful nights sleep.

The morning after we were welcomed to a lavish buffet breakfast spread and were happy at the choice available to us.

The gym facilities were quite good and thankfully we visited the gym before hitting the breakfast buffet.

The main pool was excellent and so was the salt water pool. The cocktails served were really good and the complimentary bottles of water served during the day were very welcome.

We had a dinner at the baan benjarong and found the food to be really good albiet a bit expensive but to be fair with the ambience it is to be expected.

A few of the negatives which though not major need to be pointed out and among them we think the lanai rooms where we stayed do need to be updated a bit with better television sets and some more sprucing up and also english language skills need to be enhanced for easier communication with guests.

These were the only flaws which i could possibly think of.

The small beach area was impeccably clean and looking back i can hardly find fault with anything during our four night stay at the hotel.

I would strongly recommend stay at the hotel and experience the hospitality of the staff.

This is a very large hotel but lacks nothing in the way of service. American hotels should note that a tip should not be a prerequisite for service with a smile.
We stayed only 2 nights in a the cheapest standard room which was adequate.
The breakfast and buffet lunches and dinners are of the highest order and reasonably priced. Alcohol drinkers should note that for only THB690 ++ extra there is free flow of sparkling wine, cabernet sauvignon and chardonnay with every buffet.
The swimming pool and grounds are top class and parking and internet are free, as they should be.
The hotel is about 10 minutes out of Hua Hin's nightlife and restaurant area but a free shuttle is available.

I would like to say how wonderful our trip to this hotel was. We stayed for 16 nights in October and we had an amazing time. We stayed in a club room and I would recommend it to everyone to pay the extra to upgrade. We had a beautiful room with a balcony and seaview. The access to the club room was great as we were able to relax there at any time and enjoy the refreshments. We were very pleased with the friendliness and attentiveness of all the staff and especially Nopjaros in the clubroom and Diana. We ate every night in the hotel restaurants and they were all equally good with amazing food and service. We look forward to a return visit to this wonderful 5 star resort.

In February 2009, following a tour of Thailand, we stayed eight nights at this hotel and, although we have experienced some wonderful Asian hotels, we thought that we had landed in Heaven. We travelled into town each night to eat at the street restaurants and mix with the locals/tourists. This trip, at very short notice because it was an "offer" at a known to us hotel, was even better than in 2009, more so because we upgraded to the hotel "Club" class. For folk who take full advantage of these things "Club" is very good value for money but even for we, who do not drink a lot of alcohol nor eat fancy tit-bits, it was well worthwhile, with many very nice touches and nicities. Again, we ate in town and from experience chose Hui Hin Seafood Restaurant in the night market, which, too, has uped its quality/VFM. Brilliant holiday and lovely memories.
