As some reviewers have said…it isn’t authentic. That wouldn’t be so bad if you like heavy cloying sauces with little or no chilies. Strangely enough, my partner doesn’t like fiery heat, so she ordered the papaya salad with no chilies to start, and it turned out to be extremely hot. My chicken with cashew nuts was very disappointing, and resembled the standard American-style sickly sweet Chinese type of dish. If you closed your eyes, you couldn’t tell what kind of meat you were eating. In its favour, the restaurant is situated in a lively area where all the tourists go and the nightlife will appeal to many people, but for us, there are lots of other places serving Thai food where you can taste every ingredient. In addition, we were both very thirsty afterwards and we immediately suspected the use of MSG, and that was the first time we have experienced that in a Thai restaurant. All in all, it was a bit like the Curate’s egg…some will like it, some will hate it.
