“crowded and noisy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

the good point of this hotel is it's location right in the center of town with easy access to the mall downstairs. rooms are ok (spacious, clean, but with no particular charm). service is ok.
the breakfast food is terrible. the internet connection is poor. the gym is good but you have to pay for it (why do you have to pay extra for the use of the gym at a hotel where you are a guest ?). the shower/sauna needs to be redone, it shows its age.
the main problem though at this hotel is the crowd and the noise. with the parties/weddings/seminars... and the hundreds of tourists from Malaysia coming here for the week ends. the noise in the coridors is especially hard to put up with in the morning with doors slashing, maids shouting, etc...

I stayed in this hotel on 28-30 June 2013 with my sister and friends. It was a good hotel, big room, wifi service and the staff was kind too. Located in the middle of the town.. easy to move around, shops and food stalls were near to the hotel. We went for shopping and was roaming around easily by walking. It was recommended to those who plan to visit Hat Yai.

But there is one thing you should consider if you stay a little longer in Hat Yai. The Lee Garden offers a fine place to keep yourself in shape, including the sauna and the usage of the pool. The fitness centre is located on the 12th floor. You do not have the noise from the street, it is a great place to relax and a good way to get away from it all. Their price: 1000 THB for a month, and the staff there is friendly and helpful in every sense. Drinking water and towels included. Who can beat that?

I spend a nite there, was happy I could check in straight away when I arrived at 7 am, no need to wait until 12 noon. They have plenty of rooms. I bought the Hotel Voucher from the Bus Operator Alisan when I arrived. It's cheaper by 100 Baht. The room is ok, noticing its a bit old. The wifi is fast becoz the modem is right outside the corridor ceiling outside two rooms away. There is a shopping center at the hotel. Food, Movie, Shopping, and outside the hotel there are Street Vendors, in the morning, clothes, toys, hats, souvenirs and etc... By Night, food stalls, an array of food, is displayed .its a good location. Security is tight, Entry and exit, even to the shopping area. Everyone is screened.i will go back again next time.

My friends and I are came late to this hotel and checked in at 7.30 pm. As I was hungry I told them that I may have the dinner in the hotel (buffet dinner). Upon checking the price I found out there are three prices for the dinner. One for people below 60 years and one for above 60 years ( senior), For the seniors I was charged abput 4$ US. ( Cheap) I asked the people who is incharge do they serve coffee or tea after the dinner, they unable to answer my question. sometime they say Yew, Yes, Yes and sometimes they say No, No. No. . So I asked them can I speak to a person that can speak to me in English. A man turned up, and want to talk to me, when I asked about the tea and coffee he was able to answer the sam way. so I decided to see for my self and saw, that they serve coffee and tea after the meals ( In Sky Baiyoke you have to buy tea and coffee seprately after paying 1000 Bahts.
The rice and curry was superb. I had some thai sweets too, Two cups of coffee and some corn porridge. which I taset it is nice. Fruits were of just local pineapple, watermelon dragon fruit and so on. No Mangoes. or magoesteen.
There was local soup called Tom Yam with sea food which is spicey and tasty.
Mos th of the hotel staffs are not interested in learning english. Even the counter, they are too shy or did not learn how to speak in English.
Sometime they speak english and I found out it is dificult to understand, may be it is the mixture of English and Thai.
Anyway the hotel is a good one for the price I paid, and there are more channels ( english) even live sports channel then in Paris ( Hotel Faubourg) Toileteries were plentyful . The room is very big comparing to the above said hotel.
In the morning the breakfast, ( on the house) it is plentiful, and varieties of it including fruits, bread, and noodles. Including tea and coffee.
Only one problem is spoken English other than that this good place to stay.

Room Tip: Rooms on 15th floor are better.

Strategically located in the centre of the city. Can just park your car, walk around the area or get a "Tuk tuk" to the nearby market. Security was tight. Everyone is scanned and checked at the entrance of the mall. Overall is fine, just sometimes can be too crowded. And have to wait few rounds to get in the lift.
