The nicest and friendliest hotel we stayed in on our two week trip to Thailand and Myanmar.It was all those little extras- fruit, coffee table books, DVD's to play, courtesy car to night market.Beautiful gardens . huge ,spacious clean room.Things that we found lacking when we transferred to The Legend for one night when we met up with our other friends and before we set of to Myanmar.

Internet is a problem, coming and going. the rooms are big, the view from room wonderful. breakfast dull. service is in a loss.

I was one of the only 2-3 rooms full in the hotel but the service even while calling on the phone insisted on asking me in which room do I stay.

pool is nice, location is bad, totally nowhere.

Wonderful Festival

We just came back from Loy Krathong Festival in Chiang Rai.
We stayed two nights at The River House Resort & Spa, Chiang Rai.
The hotel is on the river side. The rooms are so beautiful and
well designed with wooden floor and big bathroom.
Their spa is distinctive and with outdoor treatment rooms.

Stayed 2 nights in this hotel. Ask to go to it from Thaton by a longboat. Worth it, you'll see villages near the river... thE ROOMS ARE VERY SPACIOUS and the food is great. There is a very personnalised service. They have a free shuttle to go to the nIGHT BAZAAR AAND COMEBACK EVERY NIGHT, WHIcH IS VERY HELPFUL!

We stayed two nights at this hotel after being in busy chiang mai- it was a relaxing luxury break. We had been dropped off at the hotel after doing a 'golden triangle tour' (which started in chiang mai)- this was good way to transfer! The grounds and swimming pool were gorgeous. The bedroom (deluxe) was perfect- very modern and spacious with nice touches like DVD player (there's a library of DVDs to choose from) and complementary fresh fruit everyday in the fridge. The staff were delightful- very warm and friendly. We were taken to the night bizarre and picked up again, free of charge and was taken to chiang rai airport free of charge too. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel.
