“A peaceful little slice of heaven”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2008

What a heavenly little resort. From the moment you arrive, you'll know you're someplace special. The grounds are green, lush, tranquil and full of bird song. The rooms are lovely and romantic, clean and crisp resplendent in earth tones and flowing white tapestries. The polite and professional staff has an excellent command of English. The resort is peaceful and quiet and our room had an excellent sunset view of the mountains with a green rice paddy as our neighbor.

And the pool...what a wonderful place fo relaxing soak. While the water is a bit warm for a cool-down, cold-water jets, private alcoves, lush greenery and a swim-up bar allow for an afternoon of forgetting all your worries.

On the negative side, the resort is mostly populated by large groups arriving via tour bus. All meals (to my knowledge) are buffet style. Worst of all, our air conditioning froze up (despite being set at a very moderate level), begin clanking loudly at 3:00 AM (due to ice on the compressor) and finally stopped working. Anyone who has visited Thailand, even in the cooler months, knows that it is near impossible to rest in the heat and humidity without air conditioning unless one is acustomed to those conditions. Worse yet, the sliding door has no screen, eliminating the option of opening the door wide to let in a breeze from the rice paddy. Ours was not the only room to suffer this fate, as a fellow traveler remarked at breakfast that she experienced the same air conditioning headaches.

All in all, however, this resort provides a quiet little slice of heaven in a lovely location.

What a wonderful place to stay....peaceful, remote and tranquil.
Rooms set out in bungalows throughout the beautiful gardens and pool area. Spacious well equipped bedrooms and large bathroom with shower and sunken bath. Patio and porch area with seating.

Lobby and restaurant beautifully set out, restaurant on lower level alongside the spa. Evening entertainment in restaurant, singer and accompianists were good. Food good and plentiful

Phone calls from the rooms very expensive, 100 Bahts charge before the price of a call even using a phone card.

At the end of the hotel drive, turn left where you will find a small local shop/bar for inexpensive drinks and other items.

Would definately stay at this one again.....and recommend.
