We initially booked the Landmark Suite but upon arrival we were informed that the room was under renovation so we were upgraded to something better, better in the sense that it was a corner unit with a huge balcony overlooking the swimming pool with a view of the hills in the background. The hotel itself is big and the grounds are wide but the rooms are a bit old but have been maintained ok. It's location next to the Kok river is an added advantage. There's plenty of parking space, in case you decide to rent a car. Hotel food is just ok but nothing special. Being a Thai I had the benefit of being shown around by a friend who knows Chiang rai really well and she took us around for nice food at local restaurants. There was no problem with the service as everyone was really pleasant.
