“Just pop up for an hour if it is on your way”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2014

We arrived with our car, was ok to find with GPS, car park was empty it was around 2pm, entrance is free, nothing to pay, you can buy food 10THB to feed rabbit, ostrich, peacock, chicken, sheeps, donkeys, etc... We did a round in horse riding it cost 60THB for each of us, the round is just in the farm and take less than 4mn. There are refreshments to buy there, restaurant, and toilet also which are free. I did not try ostrich ride, they was seling also some stuffs like ostrich egg, etc...

“Not much to see but cool if you want an ostrich ride”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2014

This place is a bit tired looking, and I couldn't decide whether the ostriches were well cared for or not - they seemed a bit raggy and had missing feathers but they could have been moulting I suppose. Anyway my bf wanted an ostrich ride and was pleased with the 5 minutes he got riding it around the pen (cost 150฿). Most of the visitors were families and there were lots of kids having horse rides and looking at the rabbits. There's also a cafe on site although we didn't eat there.

“Mud and no meat”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2013

I went to Wana Farm a few weeks ago, and I wanted to do two things: see an ostrich up close and try some ostrich meat. Unfortunately I lost on both counts. First the restaurant was out of ostrich meat -- that was 80% of the menu, now unavailable. Disappointed! The other issue was that there was mud everywhere, on the trails and off. I can understand mud in the pens, but I couldn't even get close to the pens without being ankle-deep in mud. Boardwalks would be real nice!

“An oasis of pleasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

In Chiang Rai there are, aside from swimmingpools, very few places to visit with children. If not to say hardly any ...
The Wana Horse and Ostrich farm is a fine exeption. It's not battery-driven digital, no, it's real!
There are rabbits, small horses, sheep, ducks and many beautiful ostriches. There are trees that offer shadow and nice places to sit and enjoy food and drink. Children can feed the animals, touch them and even ride on top of them. They can even enjoy the view of their fathers or mothers when they are riding an ostrich for the first time in their life :-)
Children can ride on the ponies and whole families can drive around in a horse carriage.
It's an adventure for young and old! Children love it and the parents can enjoy a relaxed moment because they know everything is safe.
The friendly young staff takes good care of the children and they add certainly to the friendly and happy atmosphere of this wild-west themed little park where 'cowboy music' softly fills the air.
The prices of food and attractions are very mild.
I guess the farm is located about eight or nine kilometers out of town from the 'superhighway' taking the road to Thoeng.
PS: Also without children you will probably enjoy it because of its nice location and environment and the pleasant and unpretentious way things are set up.
See you there :-)

“Well worthwhile ,relaxing and good photos”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2012

Not too far from the Bus Station.
Free to wander & see the Ostriches,Horses ,rabbits etc
But even if you don't fancy hopping on a ostrich's back, saunter along on a comfy horse,go a round the resort ,to the tents,Western style village and side attractions.
Both the horses & ostriches are good value.
There is also a cafe/shop that serves cold/hot drinks & souvenirs.
A nice afternoon out.good photos & kids wil love it !
