Nice resort with strong concepts within 2 hours drive from central Bangkok. Nice touch with e apple tv n sound system that even connects to the bathroom. Has probably the largest rainfall shower in Thailand! will definitely visit again!

Hotel location is quite far from the main road but that is not a big deal comparing with good ambience and service you will get. Room amendities are great. So enjoy with mini bar, Apple TV and big rain shower.

Loved everything about this place. Breakfast was great, beds extremely comfortable, rooms spacious and very cool in their interior, service excellent (e.g. free drinks and water delivered by the pool and at the beach), complimentary yoga by the beach each morning, free minibar, happy hour each night (2 for 1) and the overall atmosphere and design of the place was just great.

Already looking forward to coming back!

this is our second time of the hotel. first time was when the hotel'd just started. they were stunning back then. and they still are. hotel design is different. but the room design is astonishing with very high ceiling, together with its rain shower, that adds to a fun and relaxing experience!! (imagine when you play in rain when young :D). all in all the room gives comfortable atmosphere. Service was 5 star than a well known 5 star chain! beach was cha-am/hua hin standard, nothing new. the area at beachfront is well managed and can give relaxing moment. library was nice. it's good for couple, than a family for a peaceful relaxing time. oh, wifi is free + speed is very good. it's good when you want to work away from work.

Room Tip: go for building 3 or 6, beach facing room. (only 4 rooms in the hotel except villa)

If you're at Hua Hin/ Cha-am for some beachside action, this place is not for you. There are no water sports visibly available at the beachfront property nor are there eateries and shops that line the street outside the resort. In fact, we don't recommend swimming in the sea here. The water is murky, the surf's rough and there are jellyfish warnings. This place is strictly for relaxing. And you can do so in complete comfort here. The rooms are spacious and come outfitted with modern touches. Love the rainshower that pours down from the ceiling--I've never see anything like it before. The room also comes with complimentary snacks and drinks replenished daily. When we were there we also received a 50% off voucher for the really excellent spa.

We arrived on a Wednesday and had the privilege of having the whole resort practically to ourselves. The place started filling up on Friday and was fully booked by Saturday. We think that this is a destination popular with Bangkok residents who take the two-hour drive here for a short weekend away.

The hotel provides complimentary shuttle to and from Hua Hin twice a day but we found Hua Hin a stark contrast to the laidback surrounds of Hotel de la Paix and quickly headed back. Service is above average but not great. And food is just passable but options are not extensive. If you can, head out for a meal at least once to sample local seafood. There's not much choice at the hotel, despite having three restaurants/ bars.

We suggest you bring a few books and come prepared for some serious lounging because there are plenty of spots to park yourself here--two pools (one adults only) and plenty of deckchairs (including a few cabanas) at the beach.

Room Tip: Our room, 323, had plenty of windows and had partial beach views.

This is not the traditional beach hotel that you will find in Cha-am and Huahin. It is located outside of Cha-am, in a very calm and quiet area, far away from the noice of the town. Design is very nice, with big and confortable rooms with a lot of amenities (free wifi, basic complimentary minibar, free drinking water, apple tv).

Service is friendly and nice, always trying to help you. We travel with our 5 month old baby, and they really make us feel good (baby crib, bath tub, baby soap and sponge).

The pool is nice and although is not that big, you can lap swim or stay in the chairs, listening to a very nice music.

If you are looking for a calm place to relax, no noise and good envionment, this is a good place to consider.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Hotel de la Paix is the first stylish, boutique resort in the charming coastal town of Cha-Am on the north west coast of the Gulf of Thailand closeby the famous resort town of Hua Hin. Located just 20 minutes drive from Hua Hin airport, it's bold, unconventional design fused with luxurious contemporary living makes it one of the region's hottest resorts. White sand beaches, leafy palm trees and azure waters provide the backdrop for this tropical getaway, and the resort's maze of interconnected pathways, private terraces and courtyards incorporates as much of this natural beauty as possible. For leisure and fun there are two pools: an active pool for family fun near the beach, and an adults only chill pool next to the spa. Guests can enjoy nature walks, kayak tours, mountain bike rides, water sports, cultural sight-seeing, culinary instruction or golf at one of the eight, internationally-acclaimed courses near the resort.
