“Good place to stay for a stop over!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2013

When we first arrived the staff were not very friendly, however a change in staff in the afternoon saw a dramatic change. The ladies who where at the front counter in the afternoon when extremely helpful. The rooms were clean, neat and presented as in photos. We stayed in a junior suite which was comfortable and sizable.

We also ordered room service, the portions were large and delicious! Cocktails were exceptional and the gentleman that brought us our food was so lovely!!!

Only disappointment was that there was no karaoke to keep us up :( we did love that this hotel offered karaoke, unfortunately not on the night we arrived. But there is a snooker hall opposite the hotel that seems to be open quite late!

I have got a chance to stay in Suratthani for two nights. Booking this hotel via internet, it works fine.
At the checking in counter, it was a bit messy and crowded which may be because of the holiday season time. There is only one bell boy. So we need to bring our stuff to the lobby on our own. But when the bell boy is available, the service is good.

Talking about the room, it is big including the living room. The toilet and the shower room are separated. So it is very convenient.

The location is a bit hard to find following the mobile phone navigation. But just for the first time.

There is a restaurant called Crossroad behind the hotel where they play the music in the evening. Some sound gets into the room.

Overall i would rate high for local Thai.

In a rather bland city, this is an ok hotel. We stayed there two nights (on either end of a trip to Khao Sok) in a superior room for 890 baht/night. The two rooms we stayed on were the same, but the room on the 5th floor was nicer than the 3rd floor as the bathroom was better equipped (real toilet paper instead of tissues, bottles of shampoo instead of packets).

Wifi works fine, but you need to ask for a login and password from the front desk.

Beds are kind of hard.

Breakfast is included. It is fine. Eggs and toast, plus lots of Thai options.

Only one bottle of water is included in the room rate.

Location is close (walking distance) to the bus station.

Hotel staff doesn't speak much English, but they try hard. We left luggage at the hotel when we went to Khao Sok and staff were helpful and willing to help us out.

Rooms are oddly decorated with movie posters.

Room Tip: Our room on the 5th floor was better than the room on the 3rd floor. Ask for a higher floor. This...

In a town without lots of choices, this is an okay choice. Location is okay. Bedroom was really pretty nice. Staff was okay. They have a new guy in charge of helping guests, who was really helpful. Just one small thing... we got a non-smoking room, and there was just a tiny hint of smoke in the air. Perhaps it drifted from the smoking rooms or perhaps it was carried in the air con vents. Or maybe I'm wrong- I'm pretty sure I smelled smoke but just not 100% sure.

The front desk staff had very limited English knowledge. Not even able to explain that every day one must get new internet login password and username. If one has a problem with this very basic information, then imagine the problems encountered with a real problem.
I requested a light bulb be replace over the wash basin twice - never done. This was over the week that I stayed there.
The inhouse cafe was well run, but, the staff knew very little on the the Thai/English wrote menu. Staff very willing if able to understand.

Room Tip: Resturant/cabaret place at adjouring property that ran to 4am, with the Karaoke by 'theone'...
