“Wonderful resort!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

Rooms - we had a pool residence. Highly recommend this, you have a gorgeous private plunge pool! The rooms are quite large, very clean and the beds are incredibly comfortable. The bathrooms are modern and quirky. You do not need shampoo/conditioner etc as they provide natural, botanical products.

Spa - outstanding spa. It is semi-outdoors which takes a bit of getting used to, hearing the outdoor noise and mosquitos during your facial! But once used to it, I spent at least an hour a day in there.

Restaurants - breakfast was included in our deal. Huge range of really yummy things, pastries, eggs benedict, fruit salad, waffles and pancakes to name but a few things!
We usually ordered from the poolside menu for lunch, delicious home made burgers etc.
For dinner there were some themed nights, crab and beer night, lobster and steak night - fab!!! Plus a normal a la carte menu.

I can recommend the sunset cruise on the Lady Sarojin, lots of champers, cocktails and plenty of nibbles. Plus incredible sunset view, from out at sea.

There are plenty of excursions available, should you wish to do anything else but spa and pool.

Wonderful resort, go go go!

We stayed at the Sarojin last November for the first week of our honeymoon. We had never experienced anything close to the experience we got. From the start, being collected by one of their drivers in a spotless air conditioned 4X4 with ice bucket and beers and cool towel ready for us, we knew this was going to be something to remember. We arrived in the evening and when we first walked into the open air reception area we couldn't believe our eyes when looking ahead at the resort lit up in the dark - absolutely amazing.

Our room was faultless - very spacious and private pool, the service was fantastic, the food unbeatable, the views and setting just unbelievable. Khao Lak is definitely worth a look around and can pick up some great gifts. Its too hard to pick out our best highlights, as it was all so amazing, but our guide on the jungle river boat ride called King was an absolute legend. So funny, polite and couldn't do enough to help and tell you about the area and wildlife as we went along. Lady Sarojin is a real experience to get to the Similan Islands, where we swam with many fish and a big sea turtle. The weather was perfect. The private dining by the pool was great especially with a thunder and lightning storm in the distance. But the private candlelit waterfall dining cannot be described - if you can do it, then do it! as I'm not sure how anything would ever beat the experience. All in all, not cheap but worth every penny.

We have just finished a 12 night break at the Sarojin and from start to finish it really was a wonderful experience in every respect.

The hotel itself is well situated on a long expanse of beautiful white sand beach in Khao Lak. About an hour from Phuket by road, but a million miles away from the hustle and bustle that you'd experience in many other places. Secluded enough to be private and quiet, but close enough to a small local town for shopping and a little more activity if that's what you want.

Rooms are what you would expect from a high end resort. Well laid out and top quality in every respect. Very very spacious and set in lovely expansive gardens. There is a good feel of seclusion here and even when at full occupancy, things still feel quiet, calm and relaxed. Its difficult to find fault.

There are two restuarants and again, both are top quality. The Ficus where you take the all day breakfast (which has to be the best breakfast I have had on my travels anywhere) and The Edge which is close to the beach. Both serve great food and when we ate in both on an evening, both were high standard.

The pool is set in the gardens with ample sun beds around and the beach is absolutely perfect. No shortage of beds at any time throughout our stay, and availalability of kayaks, sailing and wind surfing free of charge.

The thing that really set the Sarojin apart was the service. You can rightfully expect a certain standard of room and facilities at a 5 star resort, but all too often this can be diluted by poor service. This certainly isn't the case at the Sarojin where it's quite clear that the whole ethos of providing an exceptional customer service is shared and owned by every single member of staff. That's right the way through from the gardeners and room service all the way up to the General Manager. Throughout our stay nothing was too much and everything was delivered with a smile and in a very genuine way. Attentive when necessary, but never over bearing. From being picked up at the airport, greeeted personally by the GM on arrival, checking in at the suite, every single day at breakfast, the beach, the restaurants or wherever, and through to our departure, this level of service was cheerfully maintained. This was what made our stay so enjoyable and this is what will ensure that we are back again (and hopefully again) within a very short space of time.

There is a temptation to just stay within the luxurious confines of the hotel, but it is worth getting out and about. There are some good beach restaurants immediately to the right of the hotel and a trip to the local town is good for shopping and a change of scenery.

I could go on and on, but to sum up all I would say is that if you value a combination of a high quality holiday experience in every respect, with genuine and high quality service throughout, then the Sarojin is for you. It's not cheap, but you do get what you pay for in this world, so in my view, this place is also great value.

Thanks to Dawid and every one of the staff who made our holiday so enjoyable. See you again soon.

Arrived here in the middle of a tropical storm.....the rain was pelting down and all was not well as we were tired and hungry. After a brief while the weather cleared up and we ventured out to explore this resort. We stayed for 5 days and had a fantastic time here. All the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The food was excellent at all the restaurants on the resort, the 'breakfast' is excellent , the day trips to the Similan Islands was fantastic, the beach is beautiful and the end to end service from all the staff we encountered was excellent.
The rooms are top quality and a special note of thanks to the 'Turn down' staff who were excellent and entertained us we their novel decorations.

Room Tip: You can't go wrong here as they are all excellent...

We stayed here for 8nights in a pool side residence. The rooms are very spacious and private. The bathroom is grand and styled like you are out side very nice! We had our own private pool was nice to have. The location of the resort is right on the white sandy beaches. It was a nice change compared to the typical Phuket. I will say if your into shopping or busy cities this place is not for you. We wanted to relax and do some tours it was such a beautiful place.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The main pool is fantastic very relaxing!

We would definitely be coming back!

Stayed here for just one night when we we scouting destinations for our wedding. Unfortunately, it just wasn't large enough for our needs. That being said I do believe it is just the right size compared to the larger name brand hotels down the road from it in Khao Lak.

The staff was simply great ... it had this casual homely feel but, at the same time the staff took great care of you. The room were very nice but, more than anything else. I really really love their private beach and the bar at the beginning of it.

Highly recommend this for couple looking for a quite secluded time away from the masses.

The Sarojin is a high-end boutique property just north of Khao Lak, about an hour and a half’s drive from Phuket Airport. The resort is built in a U shape around the gardens with a large pool in the middle. We stayed in a Sarojin suite on the first floor, which was large and luxuriously appointed with a large balcony overlooking the gardens. There are two restaurants, the Fikus restaurant in the middle of the complex which serves high end Italian inspired food; their pasta is particularly good and the Edge restaurant by the beach for top quality Thai food. Also worth mentioning is the breakfast which is served a la carte and is of exceptional high standard. Food is not cheap here and if you are staying here for more than a few days you may want venture into Khao Lak for a bit of variety where you will find the usual tourist restaurants; for more high end food try the JW Marriott resort which has a selection of good restaurants, we ate there a couple of times and were impressed.
The Sarojin is not the place to come for night life but if you are looking for relaxation, high quality accommodation, great service, top quality food and a nice beach and pool, the Sarojin is perfect.
