What a truely wonderful resort. We got married at Mukdara in May and had 23 guests attend our wedding. I can't even begin to describe how fantastic the resort and staff were. Management did everything possible to make our wedding day spectacular. From the hundreds of beautiful flowers to the awesome seafood buffet and then all the lovely extras they threw in as surprises such as a fire demonstration and love lanterns for all of our guests.

From the moment we arrived the professionlism and service began to the moment we left. I cannot fault this resort in any way. They knew all our guests by name by the end of our stay and all said it was the best place they had ever stayed and the best wedding ever attended.

The accommdation facilities were magnificant with sensational gardens making each villa feel private. We stayed in the presidential villa with its own pool and it was amazing! Everything was spotless, the decor and furnishings beautiful. We looked at every style of accommodation available and whatever your choice they are all lovely.

The food at the resort is also scrumptious with a magnificent buffet breakfast and excellent restaurant menus very reasonably priced.

For anyone looking to stay in Khao Lak I highly recommend Mukdara. We looked at a few others resorts whilst we were there out of curiosity and none compared.

We stayed at the Mukdara for 10nights and were more than happy with the resorts facilities and their lovely staff.
Both the garden and ocean pools are perfect to lay around and its great to have a choice between the two, especially if a little windy, then the garden pool is sheltered. The resort is well laid out, very quiet and close to outside restaurants plus massage places.
Breakfast was excellent overlooking the garden pool.
Restaurants on the beach side of the resort were reasonably priced and we could not fault any meal we had there.
Our villa was lovely.
We will stay again.

This is a wonderful hotel to spend a nice relaxing holiday.
Everything is great, nothing negative at all.
Beautiful location, plenty of restaurants nearby if you don't want to eat in the hotel all the time, some nice places to have lunch on the beach as well and of course the massages on the beach are great too!
The only thing I would say that is not so good is the fact that even at reception their knowledge of English is far below what you would expect from a hotel like this.
I don't expect every member of staff to speak good English but I do expect staff who work in reception to speak it reasonably well, this unfortunately was not the case.
But I know this is not just a problem at this particular hotel, this is a problem almost everywhere in Thailand.

Mukdara is a very beautiful resort with millions of beautiful design details located on beachfront. We had the President Suit directly on the beach and it was a bliss! The room furniture was not so new as we had in the Marina, Phuket, but it was spacious (120 sqm.) with a to die for view to the sea. We had our own private terrace & private garden, so we didn`t need to fight to get sun loungers early in the morning. Our small garden directly on the beach was so beautiful & it was incredible to watch the sunset. It is difficult to describe it by words. I don`t know if we would be so impressed if we had another room, but villas on the beach is worth every cent. The hotel has very beautiful garden where garden villas are. It has three swimming pools. One at the beach, one main pool and one small honeymoon pool. We used all and they all were great. Altough the hotel was full, we never had a feeling that it was full. There were always enogh space everywhere. We also used the Spa and it was very good. We didn`t eat at the hotel, but breakfast was Ok. Altough most of the staff couldn`t speak English they all tried their best and the service was very good. Overall it was a great experience. Thank you Mukdara!
