“great little resort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2013

A few kilometers away from Khao Lak located on a private beach is this small resort located. the detached villas and bungalows are located in a well-kept garden. The interior is modern and fully equipped. This included beach towels, slippers, umbrellas and bathrobes. The bed is very comfortable and the large flatscreen TV offered many international channels. Free water and coffee and tea making facilities were provided daily. There is a medium sized swimming pool, a restaurant, a bar and a small shop. Prices are very reasonable and the quality of food is very good. I enjoyed the possibility of having a late breakfast, as this is served till 11.30 :-) Breakfast is served a-la-carte and there is a choice between asian and american breakfast as well as a selection of sandwiches. The overall impression of the resort was very good. All the staff were very welcoming and they did all to give me the feeling of being their guest. They were happy to arrange transport to the city and the airport or to assist in renting a motorbike. Bikes were provided for free by the resort. If you are looking for a comfortable stay in a peaceful beautiful surroundings then this is the place to be. Excellent in every possible way!

Room Tip: The bungalows are cosy, the villa's are huge!

Unlike many others, this hotel is real resort : private bungalows , new and modern, big territory,
infinity pool, private beach , cozy restaurant - but in small scale and (yet) relatively inexpensive. Sandy beach with almost nobody around, very quiet. Vee the manager - not only very efficient and helpful woman, but a nice person to deal with. Will recommend this place to everybody who seeks comfort and a little bit of seclusion . We enjoyed our stay here.

Great small scale bungalow resort (18 bungalows). The resort is
The bungalows are huge, and even have a kind of kitchen (though no cooking plate and empty cupboards...)
Balcony, large bathroom, modern design, etc.
The resort's main area (pool, restaurant, lobby, with wifi) is separated from a beautiful quiet beach with private lounge chairs and umbrellas by a small road.
The bungalows are a short walk (5 mins) from the main area.
No wifi in the rooms, other restaurants a little far (but hotel can arrange taxis).
Breakfast is included but a la carte (only 4 options).
Good restaurant.

Small hotel with only 18 bungalows. Located immediately on the beach with no immediate neighbors in sight. Lovely bungalows immersed in the domesticated jungle. Many mosquito at dusk and dawn :( For the rest and if you take your time to order at the bar just perfect!

We stayed in two villas for 10 days. The villas are clean, modern and tastefully done. The grounds are meticulous. The staff are all attentive and personal. The food is good, the lobby and pool small but stylish. Access to the beach is easy. It really is a wonderful spot, perfect for relaxing. If you want to be close to town (10 min drive) and all the usual big hotel facilities, this is not the place for you. But if you want a comfortable place to relax with easy access to the beach etc, this is perfect. We loved it.

The resort looks new and is lovely. Very clean, the apartment we had was spotless and cleaners came in every day, nothing too much trouble. The air con is in the bedroom only and an overhead fan in the lounge so it was pretty hot in there. We thought it was actually a good idea to have a cool room and a warm room so it was less of a shock when we went out in to the blistering sun. The pool was great and had a waterfall, a hot day out and straight in to the pool a great way to cool down. The restaurant provided some of the best food we ate in Thailand. Next door to the Orchid resort, we used their shop and the restaurant which was not as good as Blue Lagoons. Also a 10 minute walk along the beach to a shack serving very good food and drinks at good prices. A 20 minute walk via beach to Khao Lak. The resort is very quiet and perfectly relaxing, we had a great week there. It does cost 250 baht each way in to Khao Lak though and there's not much else around so be prepared to sit back and relax in perfect tranquillity.

Room Tip: Studios or one bed apartments only. Very relaxing and not too big!

4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013 via mobile

We stayed two nights in different bungalows. Both houses were spotless. Bathroom was a bit smelly, though. Place is near to beach and few kilometres from the Khao Lak Center. Taxi will cost about 250 BHT one way.

Breakfast was tasty, but lunch was mediocre. Bar staff was a bit sleepy.

Superior room is better value for money. Overall, highly recomendable place in this price class.
