“The staff and property were brilliant, just brilliant!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 16, 2013

I stayed in the hotel together with my sister for 2 nights - and they were really unforgettable!!!
As soon as we walked in the lobby we were immediately greeted by the most friendliest and helpful staff - excellent personnel!
The room - Deluxe Pool Access - and the amenities had everything and even more you would expect on an amazing holiday in the tranquil, white sand beach resort...
The pool was never crowded and noisy with a great swim-up bar where you could enjoy selection of tasty and refreshing cocktails.
The ultimate stretch of white sand private beach with blue water is perfect for a family oriented vacation or a romantic gateway.
Everything is done to make your life as relaxed and peaceful in JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa. From the spa to the beach to the delicious cuisine offered by several restaurants on the property. The staff is seem truly dedicated to making your stay here as comfortable as possible.

Stayed for 2 weeks in this hotel together with my wife, it's a great place to stay. The pool is magnificent and when u have a poolside room the u can just hop in, it's a big hotel but u barely notice the people it's that quiet. Service is excellent, great people working here nothing is impossible. Only slight minus is that the rooms are a bit worn, could do with a lick of paint and refurbish. I'd easily recommend this hotel if u enjoy a quiet place to stay for your holiday. We had breakfast and dinner included which was good, though the dinner selection gets tedious if u stay for a longer period.

I stayed 2 nights here with my husband. All in all, the experience was great. I love the activities on offer. They have a functional gym room, table tennis tables, beach volleyball court, tennis court & basketball. You are never short of ideas. The best is the private beach. It's such a beautiful beach. The next best thing is the pool. Even though the hotel was busy, you never feel that it's cramped.

A bit of a let down was food. Breakfast was above average but can be better in terms of western food. A am particularly disappointed with the dehli. Instead of only offering western food, how about some thai dishes such as pad thai etc. also food is pretty pricey. Fortunately, they have some restaurants in huts by the beach and their food was cheap and delicious. That saves our day. Andamen restaurant by the sea is a great find! Try their curry crab.

Room is spacious and clean, expected.

I will return For sure.

you have to know that all hotels on this beach agreed not to put on sand anything (chairs, umbrelas and other items). I consider regarding JWM's location - it is the best place in Khао lak to plunge into a nirvana: when you will come to a long deserted beach and wil see horizont, such feeling you will not forget. Only one inconvenience is the size of hotel:
it is necessary to go on foot much and many people - are especially felt it during a breakfast when crowd is looking for food

Great resort. Great food, the staff was friendly. Loved the breakfast buffet, especially freshly squeezed smoothies, great rooms. The Spa was magical. late check out facilities was an excellent touch. My flight was leaving at night. I was able to enjoy all of the facilities, take shower and change at late check out place.
Only down side is a long drive from Phuket.

Room Tip: Choose a higher level room on 3rd floor

I have stayed there in March 2012 for a week. NIce pool, nice beach, good selection of the local restaurants on the beach just 5 minutes walking distance from the hotel. However my favourite place was the hotel spa. Also breakfast was worth recommendation.

I've been to and reviewed this resort in the past and I still really like the location, pool, staff, beach, exercise room, massage, etc.

It seems like the breakfast was not as good as last time, the van had worn out suspension (people getting sick), and things were a but shabby around the edges. My worry is that if they stay on this trend and I return in 6 months that the place will be second rate. I'm tempted to try another hotel in the Khao Lak area.
