My family of four stayed at the Cousin Resort for four days to relax on the beach after a busy conference. We liked it very much. The staff was friendly and attentive, although English skills with anyone away from the front desk was iffy at times. It was VERY clean. We stayed in a family bungalow (two bedroom, king & twins, bedroom air conditioner with fan in the living room/kitchenette) for 3500 baht/night, with van transport from the Pukhet Int. Airport an hour away costing 1800 baht each way. It had a small, clean pool, well-kept grounds, and a small restaurant on site that we all liked. We were very happy with it, and thought it was a great value; the only reason I didn't give it five stars was because it was clean, neat, pleasant, etc., but not lavish. It's about a 200-yard walk to the Bang Niang beach, which was VERY nice. Very clean, nice sand, not crowded at all even during what is supposed to be a popular time. There are a number of restaurants right along the beach, although they tended to be a little pricier so I can't testify to them, although they seemed to be well patronized. There are tiny massage huts right there on the beach, so you can get a Thai massage for 250 baht/hour. The resort is about a 15-20 minute walk from "town," which has many more small restaurants, convenience stores, travel services, etc.. If you don't want to walk you can catch a ride for 100-150 baht. Overall, we were VERY happy with the Cousin Resort, and would be quick to stay there if we took another trip to the area.
