“Value stay.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2012

It is a small hotel near the Taoyuan train station (about 10 min walk). It provides shuttle service from the station to the hotel. It is also very near to the ZhongZheng road which is the shopping area. It is also near the bus station (5 min walk) so that one can take it as a base to travel around Taoyuan area such as Dasi and Xiao Wu Lai. The reception staff is helpful and patient in giving directions and answering of questions.

The room is clean and spacious. The beds are comfortable and daily housekeeping is prompt. However, some guests seemed to be secretly smoking even though it is non-smoking rooms. Upon telling the hotel, they are very prompt in freshening the room. The frosted glass of the toilet and toilet doors may too translucent for those who travel with friends.

It was great service to have the breakfast sent to the room. However, the staff made a mistake during our stay to send them at 6.30am instead of 9.30am on the second day. It badly disrupted my sleep as I am those kind that has a hard time getting back to sleep after being awaken. Although the reception staff is apologetic but damage is already done.

Another advantage is that they provide free shuttle service to the airport. It is really nice of them to provide us with packed breakfast early in the morning so that we can have them at the airport.

There are a few steps of stairs before the lift and it is slightly dangerous for those with heavy luggage. The elderly and clumsy ones must also be careful while climbing it.

Overall, for the reasonable price of the hotel, it is a value stay.

This hotel is nothing to write home to mom about. The best thing it has going for it is the free airport pick-up/drop-off shuttle service, which is the reason why we booked it for a one-night stop-over stay.
Even though I reminded hotel reception of our airport pick-up time the day before, they were almost an hour late picking us up. On top of that, they had to do another passenger pick-up at the train station after picking us up. So we ended up checking in really late on a Sunday. To their credit, they did grant us a late check-out the next day since our flight was in the early evening. And the shuttle van was prompt at taking us back to the airport, with no additional pick-ups along the way.
Our hotel room was the kind of room where you want to keep your socks on or use slippers, with mystery stains and cigarette burns in the carpet. This was even less comforting after discovering the Asian porn channel on the TV (channel 14 for those who are so inclined).
The hotel is located within easy walking distance of downtown Taoyuan City and the commuter train station located there. However, it is a little far from dowtown Taipei if you intend to spend a lot of time there. It takes about an hour to get to downtown Taipei, if you include your walk from the hotel.
Hotel staff are quite friendly, and it was a bonus to have breakfast included. We did not receive any fruit basket, as indicated by previous reviewers.

Nice room, quite good location. Short walk to the Train Station and shopping mall. Staffs go all the way out to help make our stay good, including helping us booking of taxis, advising us on our queries...

Very helpful staffs who help us search for and contact a hospital with children department when our baby fell badly sick during the trip, making sure it is open during the weekend. Remembered the lady on duty who tried to help me carry out the over sized luggages down the stairs during checkout when the rest of my family is still in hospital.

Cons: Lift is at 2nd Level, Need to carry up luggage up the short staircase.
Toilet door is translucent especially when water splashed on it! Please take note if you are going with a female friend.

Room Tip: Check with them on the toilet door.

Stayed 2 nites in May 23 > 25 in the last leg of our 2+ weeks F & E in Taiwan. Hotel was a short 10 minutes walk from Train Station via the underpass to the Rear of station. Check-in was quick. Staff was pleasant and friendly; also had airport transfer request (made during bookings 1 month earlier) at hand and made counter-check upon check-in. Room was of reasonable size with adequate supplies. Bed was comfortable. Easy access to city centre and attractions. Choices of local, Vietnamese (even Indonesian) family run eateries within 5 minutes walk from hotel. Breakfasts from menu of 4 choices, were delivered to room at requested time. Free transfer to the Airport, driver was also very friendly and pleasant.
Overall, Great value for the rate charged.
If you want to make a last minute shopping at Taipei, it's just a 40 minutes train ride at NT$42/- on the Local Train to Taipei Main Station.

I had a 1 night stay in this hotel for its convenience of a free shuttle to the airport. My flight was at 8:40am so I left Taipei area and arrived around 9pm the night before. In retrospect, I think I would have had a much better vacation experience if I simply stay put in my original hotel in the heart of Taipei and get up early to take a taxi to the airport. It would have cost less and I would have had more fun time in Ximen or any other part of Taipei for the price paid for this one night stopover.

This hotel is in “under” a bridge overpass and the area somewhat dark. It is difficult to go anywhere since it is a bit scary to have to walk down the street under a dark overpass with limited street lights. Therefore, literally all you can do is to get to the hotel and be stuck in it the whole time.
The staff is friendly and accommodating but, if you have a lot of luggage, you need to think twice about this hotel as well. You have to carry your luggage up 4 steep steps to get to the elevator and, when you arrive onto the 2nd floor using the elevator, as you exit you have to walk down 2 very narrow steps; strange.

The room is dark and strangely there was a cleaning lady working in other rooms even at 10 pm at night. When I arrive at my room, the room door was ajar (not closed). The bathroom appeared to have been just cleaned and still wet. I have a feeling that someone just checked out of that room at 9pm. Again, I did not enjoy being in that room but there is nowhere else I can go within walking distance; I tried.

The shuttle service to the airport is good and the van is brand new.

We had a one night stopover in Taipei, so booked this for free transfers and free breakfast. Pleasantly surprised to have a giant and well equipped room (we weren't expecting anything special). The staff also directed us somewhere nice for dinner.
