“Great hotel to stay at”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

The location is excellent. Can walk to the Love River or the MRT. Clean. Good buffet for breakfast. The Maitre d even brought extra fruit to the table garnished with coffee grounds and sugar. Delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Nina very helpful and speaks perfect English.
Quiet and the beds are very comfortable. The bathroom needed updating but I believe they are in the process of renovations.

5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012

This is one of the nicest hotels we stayed at during our Taiwan tour. The hotel is nothing short of being luxurious. Hotel lobby is modern with very relaxing ambience. Rooms we got were big, clean and new, beds were firm but not hard. Really had a very good night sleep after walking all those night markets. Bathroom was modern with a good shower. Plenty of TV channels usually in Chinese and of course English movie channels as well. Wifi is free in room and at the lobby as well.

Just turn right after exiting the hotel and walk a few blocks will bring you to a night market selling all sorts of food. Be warned, it is very crowded. Walking through the entire street of this market will bring you to an MRT station. One train station away on the right will bring you to another night market with shopping malls selling clothes and stuff which is another usual hangout for young people.

We preferred to walk there though. Just turned right and walk for another 15 minutes and cross the road via the train station underpass will bring you there. You can't miss it as the place is brightly lighted up. We took a taxi back to the hotel and cost TWD110.

Breakfast was fine but you have to either go early or later as the hotel is also used by large tour groups. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Would certainly stay here again should we visit this city the next time.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

We, a family with two kids, stayed here for the last night on our trip to Taiwan in August.

We had chosen the 'design' room expecting some modern, fun-filled decorations and features. We were disappointed and thought they might have given us a standard room by mistake because there was not much 'design'. But the personnel in the lobby confirmed to us that this room was indeed the right room and the only one in the hotel. It had been renovated just 3 months ago.

Besides the mis-match of expectation above, the room itself is nice and comfortable (but not as big as I wish for a 4-person room). The window opens to a good view of the city. We didn't use many of the facilities (there is a swimming pool which is quite rare in the city) but just the restuarant. The buffet breakfast was resonably priced but the food choices are limited. They don't serve any eggs to my surprise. Not very suitable for westerners I guess. No good coffee either. Internet fixed access in room. Wifi only in the lobby.

In short, it is just okay.

Room Tip: Avoid the design room - not much different

The hotel is very nice with many amenities. The bathroom offers the typical combination toilet/bidet.

Within walking distance is a supermarket offering most everything you want. There is a lot of traffic on the street so try to secure a room at the back of the hotel. Free wi-fi is available to guests. The lobby is quite large and inviting. There are several meeting rooms available for conferences.

The hotel is okay and very near to the MRT. Not much to choose from the breakfast buffet but refilled quickly. The room is a bit old fashioned. It is almost impossible for my 4-year old boy to take a bath with a higher shower above. Maybe the room is in the old building and that's why it is not expensive.

Thumbs up for:
1. Chic-looking rooms that are modern, stylish and well-maintained.
2. Friendly and helpful staff who provide you with the highest level of service and assistance.
3. Prime location in which the MRT is only 5 minutes of walking distance from the hotel.

All in all, a perfect hotel which comes with full 5-star facilities and amenities, not forgetting their 5-star service too! Book their rooms on the new wing and choose from the different themes on offer!
