I love this place!!!!
Near the pier, hence it's name, this place is basically an exhibition arena for designers and artists to showcase their works. There are many warehouses which houses different exhibitions, some free while others require an entrance fee. The pavement which connects the warehouses is both a bicycle track and a pedestrian walkway and it used to be a railway track. Along this pavement, you see pairs and pairs of artsy statues which are camera friendly. On top of them, we spotted Mayday mannequins, a huge Transformers Bumblebee, 3D effect subway station among others. How cool is that???!?!
On the Sunday which we were there, there was a cocktail competition going on. In the central area, there's this nice wooden tunnel with a flea market in it. I'm a sucker for flea markets, especially when the products sold are mostly designers/artists works. Visit any warehouse and they are all different. Some consists of shops great for souvenir shopping, others great for camera-snapping, and of course mostly an injection of knowledge.
Continue walking towards the open field next to the last warehouses and this open area is great for picnics and kite flying. There's also an old train carriage parked on it, to complete the whole artsy fartsy feel.
