The coolest part of the sky tower was the high speed elevator going up. The observation deck didn't have a full 360 view and I ended up getting the same view as I had in my hotel room at a nearby hotel. If you still want to see Kaohsiung from 74 floors up, make sure it's a clear day. Everything is a little smoggier from up there.
Take the high speed elevators to the View Deck and have a panoramic view of Kaohsiung and the harbour.
A very tall building with commanding views over Kaohsiung. Interesting display of the surrounding areas with photos taken on a very clear day. If you like tall buildings or high places, this is a must visit place. A bit far from public transport so be prepared to walk a few blocks from the nearest subway station. Try and go up to the observation level when there is no smog so you can see a long way away and take decent photos!
Be prepared for a surprisingly dizzying experience as you first enter the viewing deck (I'm not giving the secret away!) but once the initial shock is over the views are amazing even on a foggy day. The Love River at your feet, the little "toy planes" at the airport and the mountains beyond. Well worth visiting.
