Kindness hotel (on Wufu 2nd Road) exceeded my expectations in all aspects.
The rooms were very large and clean, which a big bathroom. The rooms are like japanese style which different sections of the space clearly serving a purpose (shoe storage area, bedroom, makeup/ clothes area, then leading to a large bathroom).
Rooms are very clean (daily) and very quiet despite being close to a busy road - the seals on the windows are effective.
Bicycle rental is FREE (awesome). I'd recommend getting the mountain bike with suspension. The foldable bikes, while cute, have no suspension and you get a very sore butt at the end of a ride.

The reception staff and manager are incredibly polite and helpful.

Breakfast is included and there is a pretty decent spread of things.

The location is good - it's close to some good night markets and walking distance to Central Park station. If you are going to Kaohsuing by HSR and if you don't have too much luggage, you catch the MTR to Central Park station then walk to Kindness hotel (if you want to save some yuan). Otherwise just get a cab straight from Zouying HSR station, it'll be under 300 TWD.

Would definitely stay here again if I visit Kaohsiung again.
