I wonder why this hotel is still being recommended / praised
Rooms are old / dirty with mold growing in the shower, stains on furniture.
Never seen such a badly maintained hotel in this price category.
Beach is so so +++

Just a few reasons not to stay here
- Rooms are fairly large, but very tired and dirty. Bathroom is molded and not clean. Furniture has a lot of stains, dusty.
- Rooms are noisy. The restaurant is below the rooms, which means noise from 6:30 in the morning when they start setting up breakfast until late at night
- Beach is nice, but the beach is infested with people selling stuff - and they approach you and even wake you up when you try to relax
- There is some kind of discotheque close by - staring around noon there is extremely loud musik (it even makes the windows vibrate. The hotels excuse: it is not us, somebody else
- When you need something they promise to call back. They never do.
This place is not cheap, but this would even be unacceptable for a place 1/4 the price.

The lack of service of our associates is not to our usual standards, I have personally spoken to the related departments and the training manager and rest assured we have reinforced training to ensure this does not happen again.

Please note that the beach vendors are not part of the hotel but are freelance vendors registered at the tourism board of Negombo. We do our best to control them, however it can problematic when our guests are on the beach as we cannot order them to move away.

Ok, I know, I have stayed there before and I kind of like the place. Usually Jetwing does a decent job. It's easy going and not pretentious. But this time it has taken a bad turn.
Room was in the old block. Ok, a bit smaller than others, but that is not the problem. No face cloths, No hand towel, smelly and damp bath towels, dirty and broken grout at shower and basin, very low vanity, barely clean walls, twisted lights. Strange arrangement of light switches. OK, bad housekeeping.
But the trend kept on in the restaurant. Service staff very inattentive or absent at breakfast. No service. Sat for 20 minutes before I had to call for morning coffee (which was not that good), switched to tea and had to wait another 20 minutes. Very liquid yoghurt on buffet is a disappointment (there is a separate lassi stand). Another meal was a bit better on service side, but the "fish burger" left a pretty bad taste in my mouth the rest of the day. Menu is basically uninteresting and need some revamping. Many people prefer snacks, light meals and simple dishes, not big main courses. Only one salad on the menu, would be nice to see some healthier options than all garnished with fries or potato wedges ........
But yes, aside from that the room was comfortable.... I still wonder why everywhere its says the pool opens at 7am (which is good for early risers), but the pool staff insists they have to vacuum it from 7am to 8am.... and don't let guests swim. Duhh...
Oh, almost forgot.... no wifi in room.......
so, quite a few misses....

Room Tip: ask for a room where wifi is guaranteed to work if this important to you !

We went to Sri Lanka on honeymoon and booked this hotel first for 2 nights to recover after flight (and wedding) as it's only 20 minutes from airport.
Unfortunately it was really quiet at the time of year we went which meant as it's a big hotel it lacked atmosphere, maybe in busy season it would have been much better.
Pool and beach were lovely and big buffet breakfast with sea view. Great sea view from our room too.
Not very 'honeymoony' but we are glad we went here first as it meant we weren't so tired for the rest of our trip.
Had some amazing food in restaurants in Negombo which was really memorable (even though the resort itself isn't that special)

Stayed here two nights for a conference. The highlight is that the hotel is ON the beach .. literally.. one step out of the hotel and you are on the beach.. and its a clean beach, too.... the rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the food is good. including few local specialities. the problems are the room service - i asked for a comb and never got it. the internet access in the rooms and lobby does not work most of the time and the hotel are unable to fix it.

having just done the 13 hour plane journey I decided to remedy various aches and pains with a spa treatment. The spa do various special deals - this one was a back shoulder massage with free leg/ foot and head massage - 1 hour in total for the very reasonable price of £17. Delrukshi carried out the treatment which was superb - a totally relaxing experience. A MUST

I spent a night with my family, wife and 2 kids. Had a great time. Lovely pool and great location. Rooms are spacious with a tub and shower cubicle.

However, we were bit disappointed on the room service. Upon check-in we found there were no water bottles, which are offerred complimentary. We had to call at least 03 times until the water reach to the room. Apart from this, it was a nice experience. Dinner was ala carte, buffet would have been better though as it offer many options to choose from.

Provision of Wi-fi in the room could add more value. Management should consider this as a value addition.

Room Tip: Suite rooms are equipped with Jacuzzi and direct facing the ocean. These rooms have private balcony...
