The menu was was fairly extensive but we went there for the seafood so ordered accordingly. We had the shrimp and crab cocktails, the latter which was excellent. For mains the grilled prawns and the mixed grilled seafood of lobster crab cuttlefish seer fish and prawns (served in a rice dish sized platter) was fresh and value for money. Both were accompanied by a garlic butter sauce which made the seafood, to die for. Most dishes are served with a choice of nicely seasoned veg fried rice (the chinesey flavour was a notable absentee) or French fries and a really yummy fresh salad with an excellent dressing. When ordering, I'd say order simply and enjoy the taste and textures of the more simply prepared grilled seafood rather than the more exotic dishes, like the chillie prawns which were tasty but of course you'd get a more well executed dish in Colombo. The wait staff were friendly and attentive and honest (they warned that the cuttlefish may be a little hard, though it certainly wasn't rubbery or chewy and was very edible).
Kamlo is situated opp the Rodeo Bar so expect very loud hip hop, dance music blasting away but that in my opinion adds to the charm. Decor is no frills but clean. If you want a fine dining experience then this negombo strip of touristy restaurants is probably the wrong place to look. I'd recommend this place for a second visit
