Our drive to Sinharaja was a memorable one, but not in a good way. The roads to Sinharaja takes a while to say the least i the hilly terrain. On top of thet there were civil works on the road and big rains had made the roads very cumbersome indeed. So, do not expect the ride there to be smooth. We arrrived at our logde 22.... the plan was aournd 18...
Anyway, once there Sinharaja was a really nice place. We did not see any mammals (except for humans) at all. We did see a few birds including Jungle fowl, lots of snakes and lizards, butterflies and fish. Along with trees and flowers. And leeches, that we did not manage to avoid. Two out of five got bitten. We survived that though.
Beautiful views in a dense forest.
Our guides were magic. I cannot understand how they did it when they spotted the snakes.
