“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2010

This is a nice hotel that you can tell used to be VERY high end, but now shows some wear. There are better hotels nearby, but this one was nice enough. Free internet. AC didn't work too well. Rooms were spacious.

This hotel has definitely seen better days. It is very old and dated. The condition of the shower was the worst I have experienced in terms of the incredible amount of mold. I was truly anxious in the shower due to the grime. The rest of the room was decent. Unfortunately, we had a city view instead of the lake view that it is known for. The restaurant looks out on the lake, so the view is beautiful. There is also a bakery in the lobby, and a shop further down.

When driving around the man-made lake in Gyeongju, you can easily spot the hotel. It is directly on the lake. The view around the lake was truly spectacular, as the cherry blossom trees were in full bloom when we were there. I've attached a picture of the back of the hotel from the lake, amidst the cherry blossom trees. This view is what redeemed the hotel for me. The only reason I would subject myself to this hotel again is to have another opportunity to see the breathtaking view along the lake.

An excellent hotel by all means except the location is slightly off beat. Wonderful view of the lake from the Rooms. Excellent service.

This hotel aspires to be a 5 star but it still has some work to do. The public areas are very nice but the room was defintely not 5 star, barely 4 star. The room was quite plain and there was a good amount of mold in the shower--something that a bit of quality control by room inspectors should have caught. Breakfast buffet was good but not 5 star. Bottom line: Good value but don't expect too much.

stayed at hotel hyundai 2 night at the end of august and can only compliment on their professionalism and positive attitude.....i had a voucher for one free night at the hotel....after check in which was very smooth we found the A/C in our room not working too well....within 5 min 2 staff members were at the door to check....within another 2 min they offered another room on the executive floor which they would cool down for us before we moved in....and so they did....they sent a porter up for the luggage and the entire affair was solved very quickly and more importantly very professionally...we found that every member of staff was extremely polite and greeted me with excellent english (i probably was the only foreigner in the hotel and english skill is not one of koreas strong points)...the hotel has a lot of outlets for dining and entertainment and even includes a 12 lane bowling place...the view from the lakeview deluxe room is fantastic and unobstructed....the rooms might need a little repaint and touch ups but they are quite comfortable and the friendly staff makes up for it....ask to be put on the 11th or 12th floor...those rooms have nicer furniture and seem to be less used....
